When Should I Reach Out to an Exchange Expert?

You can reach out to an Exchange Expert at any time during your exchange process by going to your dashboard and clicking on "Expert Exchange Assistance". Whether you are planning a trip months in advance or need a last-minute exchange, we are here to help. However, we recommend requesting assistance early and staying flexible to maximize your chances of finalizing an exchange. The chances of finding a successful exchange greatly improve when our team has between two weeks and one year to find suitable options.

What Details Should I Finalize Before Requesting Assistance?

Before requesting Exchange Assistance, ensure you have a clear understanding of the following details:

• Dates of Travel: Aim to request assistance more than two weeks before your exchange begins.
• Duration of Travel: Specify the length of your trip.
• Desired Locations: Indicate specific, general, or multiple locations. Note that trips with multiple destinations can be challenging to coordinate, so please set up a call with our Exchange Experts to explain the details.
• Number of Travelers: Include information about who will be traveling (e.g., kids, family, solo).
• Type of Exchange: Specify whether you prefer a reciprocal exchange, a GuestPoint exchange, or are open to either.

NOTE: Exchange requests to popular destinations during peak seasons (e.g., New York for Christmas) or with numerous specific criteria (e.g., pool, 5 bedrooms, close to the beach,  and stylish design) are harder to arrange, so your flexibility and understanding are appreciated as we strive to meet your needs.
