Watch spectacular sunsets from the hot tub and listen to the sound of the waves at our coastal waterfront retreat. The "barn" style house has high ceilings and is designed to take advantage of the light and views over lush gardens to the open ocean. Launch a kayak or SUP from our private path abutting the Nature Conservancy's Goosewing Beach Preserve. After a day at the beach, biking shady country roads or exploring quaint coastal villages, bring your farm stand treasures home to a fully equipped open kitchen, dining and living area. The location is ideal for birders, nature lovers, artists, as a writing retreat AND the house is perfect for family reunions with activities for all ages and many separate spaces for privacy.

Our house is off the beaten track so you will need a car to get around. The neighborhood is primarily second homes for residents of Boston and NYC who enjoy the hidden gems of the South Coast without the traffic and tourists on Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. But if you must pull yourselves away from the pastoral beauty of our surroundings, Boston can be reached in an hour and historic Newport with its' mansions, restaurants, shopping and antique architecture is a 40 minute drive. Fast ferries to the Islands are available in nearby New Bedford - a city worth a visit for its Whaling Museum, picturesque port and many dining options. Rhode Island is truly the ocean state, with miles of waterfront to explore.

Övrigt

We live, year-around, in a separate house next door. The "barn" building has it's own entrance and full private use of a large patio and hot tub. We will tend to the flower beds and mow the lawn on occasion, always prioritizing your privacy.
We would prefer a 4 night minimum in June and September.
