We live in a quiet duplex set back from the road with a private front yard behind a white picket fence. There is a private parking spot that will be available for use. The home is on 3 floors with an attic bedroom, two bedrooms and a living room/study on the second floor and a main living area, music room with piano, and a kitchen on the ground floor. There is a private deck off the kitchen that is shady in the evenings. We love to eat dinner there throughout the summer. We have a wood burning pizza oven that you can use to entertain friends.

This is a non-smoking home.

Our home is in a leafy neighborhood of Cambridge, MA. Harvard Square is 2 miles away and easily accessible by bus, bike paths, or a lovely walk along the Charles River. People come from all over town to buy coffee and pastries from Sofra, a middle eastern bakery which is on the other end of our street. We are close to the beautiful Mount Auburn garden cemetery and across the street from Fresh Pond, which is wonderful for a run or a leisurely walk. The beautiful paths around the pond are 2.5 miles long. In Spring and Summer evenings, you can often spot Screech or Great horned owls emerging from their nests for the evening. There is no swimming or boating allowed on the pond as it is the public water supply. We are a short walk to a grocery store and to other shopping areas.

We like to pack a picnic dinner and drive up to the beach to the beautiful beaches on the North Shore. If you arrive at 5:00 pm, the parking is free and all the crowds are leaving. The sun is not as hot and there are more shore birds to see. Plum Island or Good Harbor Beach are our favorites. Boston is easy to get to. It is a 20 min drive, but as it is usually difficult to park there, we usually take public transportation which takes about 45 minutes. Apple Cinema is a short walk away, as is the Arsenal Yards shops, restaurants and cinema. There are fun places to go swing or salsa dancing close by.
