Vad du kommer att gilla med hemmet
Our home is a semi-detached house with a 5,000-square-foot fenced yard, perfect for a couple or a family with children. The living area is open concept, allowing you to easily keep an eye on the kids. The ground floor includes two bedrooms, a bathroom with both a bathtub and a shower, and an open living space that combines the kitchen, dining, and living room areas.
We love to cook, so our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. The basement is fully finished and includes an office space as well as a playroom for the kids. There’s also a futon in the basement for any extra guests staying over. The basement has one bedroom and a half-bath with a washer and dryer. We have plenty of toys for young children to enjoy.
Our backyard is a little summer oasis. There’s a deck where you can dine outside or enjoy drinks with friends, and it's beautifully lit for evening gatherings. We have two barbecues, one propane and one charcoal. There’s also a heated above-ground pool, perfect for warm summer days. The yard is ideal for children, with a playset and sandbox, and it feels private thanks to a hedge of mature cedar trees.

St-Amable is a suburban town located about 30 minutes by car from Montreal and 2 hours from Quebec City. Public transportation is available within the town. It's a typical quiet Montreal suburb, with several parks for children (three within walking distance from the house), a few fast-food restaurants, and a grocery store.
The region we're in, Montérégie, offers plenty of attractions for tourists. We’re about a 20-minute drive from Mont-St-Bruno National Park, the Îles-de-Boucherville National Park, and Mont-St-Hilaire. In St-Amable itself, there’s a small nearby nature park with free access, ideal for short hikes along trails bordered by ponds. Within a 30 to 45-minute drive, you can also visit local wineries and cider houses.
During the summer, many places nearby offer berry-picking (strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, depending on the season). There are also a few microbreweries in the neighboring towns, most of which are very child-friendly given the suburban setting. In Boucherville, about a 15-minute drive from St-Amable, a river shuttle on the St. Lawrence allows you to reach the Old Port of Montreal.
You’ll enjoy the best of both worlds—a peaceful suburban town close to many attractions, perfect for enjoying those warm summer days.
