This wooden house was built in 1906 but has been upgraded and renovated by us since 2003. It was an active farm up until 1999, with the main barn and two other buildings now turned into workshops and garage. We have tried to keep a feeling of the early 1900 when renovating, but installed ground heating, floor heating, and other modern facilities. Located right on the river, the 43-acre property consists mostly of fields and contains a bird preservation area where tens of thousands of migrating birds stop by on their way north in the spring, and back south in the fall. Quite a sight each time, observable from two watch towers within 10 min walk from the house. In summertime swimming in the river, or taking a boat or canoe is possible. In wintertime, you can ski or take the snowmobile from the yard straight out into the surrounding nature.

Located in Brån, Västerbotten county, 25 km west of Umeå. This area is mostly farmland, with forest and hills of about 1.5 km hiking across the fields, but in the view from the front side of the house. The nearest grocery store is 4 km, as is the gas station and a pizza restaurant. In Vännes, 9 km west, are more stores, post office liquor store, and other shops., In Umeå, 25 min drive east are numerous restaurants, from fast-food places to fine dining, bars, spas, sports facilities, and cultural events. In the summertime, many cafes in villages around Brån have open, making great spots for a bike expedition.
