We have an extraordinary apartment in the center of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. For professional reasons we live in Valencia, but we spend some time in Seville, so our house is always ready.
Vad du kommer att gilla med grannskapet
Our apartment is located in the center of the city only 800 meters from the cathedral and the old Jewish quarter in Seville. Its location is privileged since it has department stores, supermarkets, bus stop and cab 10 meters from our house.

BARES PARA PRACTICAR EL TAPEO SEVILLANO
Zona de Hotel Becquer hacia Plaza Nueva
La Azotea (C/ Zaragoza), es un bar pequeño pero se toman buenas tapas.
Taberna del Alabardero (tambien en la Calle Zaragoza, puedes comer sentado o tapear, es una antigua casa sevilllana)
Si sigues la calle Zaragoza al final llegas a la Plaza Nueva (donde esta la estatua de Fernando III y el Ayuntamiento).
En calles muy próximas, están:
Barbiana (Muy recomendable en C/ Albareda, para tapear pescaito de Cadiz (Caí en el lenguaje popular) -tortillita de camarones, ortiguillas, adobo, puntillitas, boquerones, ,...)
Zelai (tambien en C/Albareda, mezcla del norte con el sur, un cocinero de Donosti, recriado en Sevilla, tapas más sofisticadas,...)
Casa Moreno / Trifon (estos dos son historicamente tiendas de ultramarinos pero te dan muy buena chacina y latas.)
Becerrita (en la misma zona)
También tienes la Plaza de la Magdalena y detrás encuentras el Hotel Colon, hotel clásico modernizado y con buenas tapas también.

Casablanca (en la Avenida de la Constitucion frente al Archivo de Indias, el bar no es muy grande pero fuera se puede estar)

Labulla (un sitio moderno con cierto encanto al que va gente joven y que es para comer sentado un dia puedes cenar allí, reserva antes)

Cervecería Giralda (C/Mateos Gago)
Las Teresas y Casa Roman (en plaza de los Venerables, en Las Teresas tienen buen jamón). En este lugar se inspiro Zorrilla para el Tenorio, asi que despues de beberte 5 manzanillas (similar al jerez pero de Sanlucar de Barrameda) y tras haberte comido un plato de jamon le puedes decir a tu mujer eso de "no es verdad angel de amor que en esta apartada orilla...."
Taberna Poncio, un sitio moderno con buenas tapas de un cocinero bien conocido en la ciudad (En C/ Ximenez de Enciso, 33)
Por detrás del Palacio Arzobispal:
Grupo Robles (son varios, Casa Robles, Robles Placentines,.. y estan todos en la zona, veras alli tambien turistas sentados, pero se picotea bien de lo tipico sevillano)
Zona Parque de Maria Luisa:
Puedes ir a "La Raza", un restaurante junto al parque, o con más nivel y de origen vasco "Oriza" (al principio de la calle San Fernando, junto a la Universidad)
Para Cenar
Para una noche de cena romantica te recomiendo Abades Triana, un restaurante a pie del río Guadalquivir viendo la Torre del Oro, la Giralda..... reserva con tiempo y pide que te pongan en la ventana (entra en la web y lo verás).
Tambien para cenar te recomiendo la Bulla.
Si quieres un sitio tipico, donde la comida es normal, pero el lugar tiene encanto (casa bien tipica sevillana puedes ir a La Albahaca en el barrio de Santa Cruz, junto a la plaza de Santa Cruz)
De copas
Hay una terraza/azotea que tiene encanto, es en el hotel ME (calle Placentines, junto al palacio arzobispal).
QUE PEDIR/COMER EN SEVILLA.
Como dice el refrán, "donde fueres haz lo que vieres", así que al llegar mira lo que están comiendo los que tienes al lado y seguro que se te antoja algo, si no mira la carta o mejor pregúntale al camarero que te recomienda, y seguro que te lo dice rápido y con deje sevillano (igual no te enteras, pero tu le dices a todo que sí y "apañao").
Como recomendaciones no te vayas sin probar: pescaitos fritos (puntillitas, adobo, camarones fritos,...), jamón, chacinas (morcón, caña de lomo,...), gambas de huelva, ensadilla, cola/rabo de toro, espicanas (si te gustan..)
QUE VISITAR/HACER EN SEVILLA
Catedral (la tercera más grande de la cristiandad, ya lo dijo uno que la construyo "hagamos una catedral tan grande que los que la vean nos tomen por locos")
Subir a la Giralda (Que son para ti 60 pisos/rampas??, eso te lo subes tu cada mañana antes de desayunar, ¡¡animo pues ¡¡, que desde arriba hay una bella vista. Ojo no se como va lo de los turnos, ten cuidado no te vayas a topar con un grupo de 1.000 japoneses que quieran subir a la vez que tu y te toque esperar 3 horas.
El Real Alcazar de Sevilla, digno también de visitarse, parecido a la Alhambra y junto a la Catedral. Desde alli puedes coger un coche de caballos, y preguntando antes la tarifa puedes pedir que te lleve al parque de Maria Luisa (durante el recorrido el cochero te explicará los monumentos/calles que vais viendo pero debido a su acento cerrado será difícil que lo entiendas, y si no pruébalo). Una vez en el parque y tras dar una vuelta en el coche de caballos (si lo haces andando acabaras cansado, debes ir a la Plaza de España, y hacerte fotos de recuerdo.
Si te gustan los museos debes visitar el museo de Bellas Artes (los sevillanos decimos que el mejor de España después del Prado, pero puede que exageremos).
Si te das una vuelta por la Puerta de Jerez no dejes de ver dos edificios bonitos, uno el Hotel Alfonso XIII, y otro el Palacio de San Telmo (Sede de la Presidencia de la Junta de Andalucía) y anteriormente Palacio de los Duques de Montpensier (dueños del parque de Maria Luisa).
Siguiendo junto al río puedes ver (desde fuera, lo de dentro no tiene valor) la Torre del Oro, y siguiendo más hacia delante, la Maestranza (plaza de Toros).
Paseando por el centro (que es lo que más le gusta a todos los que vienen a Sevilla) no dejes de pasear por la calle Sierpes, la calle Cuna, la Plaza del Salvador, la Plaza de San Francisco y por supuesto la callejuelas del barrio de Santa Cruz. Todo esto muy cerca de nuestra casa.
Al final de la calle Cuna es digno de visitarse el Palacio de la condesa de Lebrija, esta señora se trajo a su casa los principales mosaicos romanos de la vecina ciudad romana de Itálica, también otro palacio por el centro digno de visitarse es la Casa de Pilatos, de los Duques de Feria.
En la Plaza de la Encarnación podrás ver la versión sevillana del Guggenheim. Un monumento moderno conocido como "Las Setas" allí puedes ver como era la ciudad en tiempos romanos y subirte a un mirador de la ciudad.

RESTAURANTS TO PRACTICE THE SEVILLEN TAPEO
Hotel Becquer area towards Plaza Nueva
La Azotea (C/ Zaragoza), is a small bar but they serve good tapas.
Taberna del Alabardero (also on Calle Zaragoza, you can eat sitting down or tapas, it is an old Sevillian house)
If you follow Zaragoza street at the end you arrive at Plaza Nueva (where the statue of Fernando III and the Town Hall are).
In very close streets, there are:
Barbiana (Highly recommended in C/ Albareda, for tapas of small fish from Cadiz (Caí in the popular language) -shrimp omelette, nettles, marinade, sprigs, anchovies, ,...)
Zelai (also in C/Albareda, a mixture of north and south, a cook from Donosti, raised in Seville, more sophisticated tapas,...)
Casa Moreno / Trifon (these two are historically grocery stores but they give you very good cured meats and cans.)
Becerrita (in the same area)
You also have the Plaza de la Magdalena and behind it you find the Hotel Colon, a modernized classic hotel with good tapas as well.
Arenal Area/Arco del Postigo/Bullring:
Casablanca (on Avenida de la Constitución in front of the Archivo de Indias, the bar is not very big but you can be outside)
Bodegon 5J (Next to Calle Harinas)
Rosemary Winery
Infanta (next to the Arco del Postigo)
Labulla (a modern place with a certain charm where young people go and that is to eat sitting down one day you can have dinner there, book beforehand)
Santa Cruz neighborhood area, Cathedral:
Giralda Brewery (C/Mateos Gago)
Las Teresas and Casa Roman (in Plaza de los Venerables, in Las Teresas they have good ham). In this place Zorrilla was inspired for the Tenorio, so after drinking 5 manzanilla (similar to sherry but from Sanlucar de Barrameda) and after having eaten a plate of ham you can tell your wife that "it's not true angel of love that on this secluded shore...."
Taberna Poncio, a modern place with good tapas from a well-known chef in the city (In C/ Ximenez de Enciso, 33)
Behind the Archbishop's Palace:
Grupo Robles (there are several, Casa Robles, Robles Placentines,... and they are all in the area, you will also see tourists sitting there, but you can eat typical Sevillian snacks well)
Maria Luisa Park Area:
You can go to "La Raza", a restaurant next to the park, or with more level and of Basque origin "Oriza" (at the beginning of San Fernando street, next to the University)
For dinner
For a night of romantic dinner I recommend Abades Triana, a restaurant at the foot of the Guadalquivir river overlooking the Torre del Oro, the Giralda... book early and ask to be put in the window (enter the web and you will see it ).
Also for dinner I recommend the Bulla.
If you want a typical place, where the food is normal, but the place has charm (a very typical Sevillian house you can go to La Albahaca in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, next to the Plaza de Santa Cruz)
There is a charming terrace/rooftop, it is in the ME hotel (Placentines street, next to the archbishop's palace).
WHAT TO VISIT/DO IN SEVILLE
Cathedral (the third largest in Christendom, as someone who built it said "let's make a cathedral so big that those who see it take us for crazy")
Go up the Giralda (What are 60 floors/ramps for you?, you climb that every morning before breakfast, cheer up, because from the top there is a beautiful view. I don't know how the turns, be careful not to run into a group of 1,000 Japanese who want to go up at the same time as you and you have to wait 3 hours.
The Royal Alcazar of Seville, also worth visiting, similar to the Alhambra and next to the Cathedral. From there you can take a horse-drawn carriage, and asking beforehand the rate you can ask to be taken to the Maria Luisa park (during the tour the coachman will explain the monuments/streets that you are seeing but due to his thick accent it will be difficult for you to understand , and if not try it). Once in the park and after taking a ride in the horse carriage (if you do it on foot you will end up tired), you should go to the Plaza de España, and take souvenir photos.
If you like museums, you should visit the Museum of Fine Arts (we Sevillians say that it is the best in Spain after the Prado, but we may be exaggerating).
If you take a walk through the Puerta de Jerez do not miss seeing two beautiful buildings, one the Hotel Alfonso XIII, and another the Palace of San Telmo (Headquarters of the Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía) and previously Palace of the Dukes of Montpensier (Owners of the Maria Luisa park).
Continuing along the river you can see (from the outside, the inside has no value) the Torre del Oro, and continuing further forward, the Maestranza (bullring).
Strolling through the center (which is what everyone who comes to Seville likes the most) do not forget to stroll through Sierpes street, Cuna street, Plaza del Salvador, Plaza de San Francisco and of course the alleys of the neighborhood of Santa Cruz. All this very close to our house.
At the end of Calle Cuna, the Palace of the Countess of Lebrija is worth visiting. This lady brought home the main Roman mosaics from the neighboring Roman city of Italica. Another palace in the center worth visiting is the House of Pilate, of the Dukes of Feria.
In the Plaza de la Encarnación you can see the Sevillian version of the Guggenheim. A modern monument known as "Las Setas" there you can see what the city was like in Roman times and go up to a viewpoint of the city.
