Live in the top floor of Nuestra Casa: large private room (king bed and sofa) + beautiful small otate room (with a double bed)+ private bathroom.
Nuestra Casa is adjacent to CAMP (available for retreats, gatherings, forums, seminars, episodic communities, and small festivals):
• steps away are eating places, shops, craft vendors, and the country’s only nude beach
• nudity is optional at the beach, encouraged here, and only mandatory in the wild pool and sauna
• LGBTQIA+ allyship: this is a safer space for folks of any identity or expression
CAMP FACILITIES — you may access (if a retreat is not in progress) include:
• communal kitchen including utensils, wares, and some staple pantry ingredients
• natural pool — warmed, sand-bottom mineral pool for conversation, aquatic therapy
• 10-person sauna
• outdoor warm showers
• air-conditioned massage/bodywork sala
• garden, patio, and studios
• 100㎡ studios — Zipolite's biggest movement/workshop spaces
• the place was constructed of vernacular earth, clay, stone, and sustained-yield timber by marvelous local artisans. You join scheduled events and classes at CAMP if you wish.
All social media platforms: @zipolitecamp

Nuestra Casa also has a private street entrance for your use.

LINENS — fresh bedding is included. If you don't have a towel, simple sauna towels are available upon request.
KITCHEN — the Casa has a shared kitchen and, if a retreat is not in progress, you also may have access to the adjacent communal kitchen, refrigerators, implements, ware.
DRINKING WATER — our well water is filtered, tested, and potable; all faucet water is safe to drink.

Vad du kommer att gilla med grannskapet
In its entirety, Zipolite is about 2km long, so there is no need for a car. Taxis and colectivos are abundant.
Eating places, posadas, hotelitos, tiendas, craft vendors, and the country’s only nude beach are steps away from CAMP.
Right in front of our house we have café Órale, own by a French Canadian and his Mexican husband they serve food with a perfect combination of flavors and textures, the Italian restaurant Bacco in front of our retreat center has good meats and pastas, and in a 4 min walk there is Zircolite circus, where you can do African dance, Yoga, acrobatics and more. We are close to the Shambala promontory where you can see a spectacular view of the sea and also close to Playa Camarón.
The town is contained, we can walk it. People know each other—we have familiarity with our neighbors. Zipolite is not self-consciously “green” or “eco.” Foods are not labeled as organic, pastured, farm-to-table, or natural—Zipoliteños buy local because it's what makes sense. The laws exist to improve your life, we don’t encounter law for law’s sake here. The vegetation, the weather, and how nature changes, is paradisiacal.
Eat — if it looks good, it probably is good. Favorite restaurants include: Órale Café, Noga, La Providencia, El Alquimista, Nude Zipolite (<5 minute walk); Posada Mexico, Lupita, Entropia, La Fenice (<10 minute walk); Maya Papaya Vegan, Zeta Cultural, Gula Gula, Delfina (<15 minute walk); Clan Destino, Salmastro (<20 minute walk). These all can be found on Google Maps.
Do — for quality Zipolite happenings follow Zeta Cultural @zetacultural, 175 Show Room @175showroom, Piña Palmera @pinapalmera … and explore nearby experiences in San Agustinillo, Mazunte, and Ventanilla (<10 minute taxi or colectivo).
Nightlife — in Zipolite is subdued, and typically over before midnight.
“Unofficially a ‘playa libre’ for more than 50 years, Zipolite nudity was legalized in 2016. Zipolite is considered the best place for social nudity in the country. The numerous nude sunbathers, and the long tradition, make it safer for nudity.”
— Wikipedia
When you ask us why we love Zipolite, we think of its tolerance: anyone is welcome here. Not a resort, Zipolite or “Playa de los Muertos” (beach of the dead) is known for rugged countercurrents—in both the ocean riptide and social nonconformist meanings.
This small place self-selects for people who identify themselves by more than consumerism. The people attracted here usually present exactly as they are. They love Zipolite’s freedom, and they devotionally return. We love the people you can meet here, how open and amazed by life they often are. There is diversity and a tranquil, chill attitude.
You can get to know the townspeople on the beach, where some wear attire and others don’t.
“If we do have an essential nature of being social, and clothing does do something towards alienating us from each other, nudity helps break down alienation. I think that's why so many people like it. Whether they recognize that's why they like it or not." —Mark Storey.
Some of us are foreigners, some are nationals, some are from a village, some are city transplants. Zipolite is a simple, unpretentious, small town where everything is personal. We love the rustic sophistication here; how rudimentary it is, chickens on the road and beloved street dogs coexisting with the urbanity of hissing espresso machines and sublime baguettes.
