Vad du kommer att gilla med hemmet
Our home is located in a quiet street, close to the city center of Bergen at the beautiful west coast of Norway. The historic city of Bergen is pittoresque, yet urban and trendy, and is well worth a visit, especially during summertime.
Bergen, being a port for the Hurtigruta ferry trip, is also the perfect starting point if you want to experience the fjords. Or the mountains: from our home, you can easily hike two of the mountains surrouding Bergen. You can by car, bus or train reach the excellent downhill skiing areas in Myrkdalen or Voss. During the last years, we have refurbished the house in a modern, clean and Scandinavian style. The house is 170 sqm, with a large open living room with dining table, a well equipped kitchen and a separate second living room for watching movies etc. Even if it is not the biggest house, we like that is has plenty of space for a family, with three bathrooms, three bedrooms and a double alcove: There are one bedroom with a new and good single bed (90x200) another one with a double bed (180x200), a third one with a queen size bed (140X200) and at last there is a cozy alcove with space for two (180x200) .
Kids are heartly welcome! The house is surrounded by a private garden with trees, berries and blossoms, a charcoal grill, two hammocks, benches and chairs.
Our house is situated in a quiet and residential area about 8 km from the city center. The bus to the city center takes about 20 minutes, and stops a few minutes from our house.
Right outside the house you will find a nice trail that takes you all the way into the mountains of Bergen. From here, you can hike to mount Fløyen and the city mountains. Perfect if you like hiking or running! Golf course nearby. The area is also ideal for swimming in the clear lakes nearby, or to just have a piknik. If you want to swim in the fjord, there are several public parks with beaches close by that you can reach by foot.
Unfortunately we don’t do guests points exchanges. Due to allergy, we will have to to decline exchange inquiries from households with cats or dogs.

Our neighbourhood is a nice, quiet and friendly area. Like us, many of the people who live here enjoy the proximity to the hiking trails, the lakes and the fjord with great swimming spots.
We know the city quite well, and will be happy to recommend hikes, museums, restaurants and trips out of town.
