Our home is the perfect holiday getaway - all the comforts, great indoor-outdoor living, wonderful views, all day sun, privacy and lovely garden. It is located right on the lakefront with a grass lake edge and jetty. We also love being on the trail network so that we can enjoy our walks, or more extensive cycle rides directly from home. All downstairs is open plan, with huge bi-fold doors opening onto the sunny north facing garden and access to the lake. This makes for fantastic easy living in summertime. Upstairs all bedrooms have lake and mountain views. The master bedroom with super-king bed and en-suite has such a glorious panoramic view that we habitually enjoy our breakfasts in bed. The second master bedroom with a queen bed and en-suite has large bi-fold doors opening to its private balcony. Downstairs a cosy library with a studio fire offers a pleasant break from the summer sun or warm retreat on a cold winter evening. A games cupboard provides many interesting family or group activities. Day or night, the outside spa is a great place to relax. The garden offers a trampoline, barbecue, outdoor dining and great, private spots to sit and read and relax. This is a superb location year round.
Our home is just five minutes from the airport and Remarkables Park shopping centre, and ten minutes from downtown Queenstown.
Queenstown is often cited as one of the world's greatest destinations. Along with the stunning alpine and lake scenery there are innumerable activities and pastimes available, from the most adventurous to the most languid or social. Restaurants and vineyards abound. We have two world class ski fields and six spectacular golf courses within 25 minutes of home. Bikes and a kayak are available to help you explore.
Generally Queenstown has more visitors over the summer period December to March, but we love every season here. Spring, in the months September to November, offers vibrance and energy. The golden colours of Autumn in April and May are beautiful. June to August gives typically clear days and skiing. Brilliantly clear weather or tempest storms can mark any day in this alpine southern environment. We are sure that you'll love it here as much as we do.

Willow Place is a quiet lakefront cul-de-sac, with a mix of full-time and second home residents, on Lake Wakatipu's beautiful Frankton arm. Outside our home is a beautiful grass beach. You can head along the lakeside track in either direction (leading to and beyond Queenstown in one direction and Jack's Point resort village in the other) on either foot or bike for several hours.
There are three golf courses and two tennis courts within 5 minutes drive, and another three if you are willing to drive 20 minutes. Within 20-40 minutes you can access numerous vineyards, many of which offer tastings or cafes. Alternatively, touring the local artists can make for a great day's outing. You could be at Coronet Peak or Remarkables ski fields within half an hour. The Hilton Resort, with boutique shops, cafes and restaurants three minutes walk along the lakeside trail. The main shopping centres of Remarkables Park and One Mile are each about five minutes drive away - another five gets you to downtown Queenstown with its extensive array of shopping, cafes and restaurants. Alternatively, the local water ferry can wisk you directly into Queenstown Bay on its scheduled half-hourly service. Cycling has become a popular recreation with an extensive network of easy off-road trails throughout the basin. The more brave can explore a vast array of mountain bike trails. We also love the wide variety of walking trails within the basin and surrounding mountains.
