N.B: **We are only looking for people who can stay 2 weeks in December (preferably) or at very least, 1 week or more, and possibly a week at the start of September** Preference will be given to people who are happy to feed/clean litter tray/play with on occasion our lovely, friendly wee fluffy cat called Clarence. Due to Clarence not being used to children however, we can only accept requests from adults without children.**
FLAT/APARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Beautiful, big and stylish tenement flat with period features in the heart of Glasgow's trendy and eclectic West End, our apartment has all the best features of a traditional sandstone tenement. High ceilings with beautiful ornate features, stunning marble fireplaces in both bedroom and living room, a traditional log burning fireplace and sanded wood floors. The flat has the bonus of being extremely spacious whilst still cosy and bright.
There is a luxurious king sized bed in the master bedroom and a standing desk with monitor to work from if needs be. We have a ton of cookery books/contemporary/classic fiction/art and popular music/sociology books throughout the flat that you're also welcome to peruse. The large sofa in the sitting room is big enough to fully stretch out on and snooze, too. We also have a brand new, double air mattress if required. There is fast wifi throughout the apartment.
The sitting room boasts a large, 50inch flat screen smart TV, with Amazon Prime and Netflix you can use, a BFI Player subscription (with loads of amazing arthouse movies on it) BBC IPlayer and there's also apps for Disney+/NOWTV etc that we don't subscribe to, but you can easily put your account details in to use during your stay. There's a large sofa and a love seat, and an excellent stash of board games & DVDs, alongside a SonyPS4 that you're welcome to use, alongside whatever games we have. We're musicians and music lovers, so we've hooked the hifi up to the TV so it's a joy to watch movies on, especially. We've also got a cosy beanbag to relax on and a wee cat tunnel that Clarence loves to play in. There's also an exercise bike you can use.
The kitchen has a six seater dining table with chairs and all the appliances you need - dishwasher, washing machine, 12 cup coffee maker, electric steamer for veg, coffee grinder, smoothie blender, food mixer, microwave, oven and grill. There's a large fridge freezer and lots of storage space for when you're not eating out in the neighbourhood's large selection of excellent restaurants - I will provide you with a Google map of all my recommendations for delicious (and affordable) places to eat not only on the doorstep but throughout the city.
The bathroom has an excellent over the bath shower with consistently hot water and a drying pulley for washing. There is a cat litter box in the hall, but it is odour-free due to both its size and our wee baking soda/cat litter routine!
We've taken lots of care to make our apartment as cosy, bright and welcoming as possible, so hope you love our apartment as much as we do.

Woodlands is a fantastic, diverse and eclectic neighbourhood in Glasgow's trendy West End, and it's ideally located for visitors.
Our apartment is 5 minutes walk from Kelvinbridge Subway, which takes you into town and around Glasgow. We are 2 minutes walk away from one of Glasgow's most beautiful Victorian parks, Kelvingrove Park, which you can walk through to Finneston for a variety of hip restaurants, or to visit Kelvingrove Museum & Art Gallery. Equally, Glasgow's Botanic Gardens and Kibble Palace glasshouse are just 15 minutes from the apartment by foot.
Our street is connected at one end to Woodlands Road (with lots of cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops) and at the other to Great Western Road with the best shop selection in the city (Mexican/Spanish/Chinese/African/Middle Eastern/Indian food shops are all there) along with great restaurants, cafes and gift shops.
It's a 15 minute walk to Byres Rd and a 5 minute walk to the stunning Glasgow University buildings. If you go in the other direction, we are 10 minutes walk from the bottom of Sauchiehall Street, so you can walk to town in 15 minutes or so with no need even for the subway.
If you want to get away from it all, too, you can either hop on the train to Balloch for Loch Lomond (Charing Cross train station is 10 minutes walk away or take a subway to Central Station) or places like Lochwinnoch are just 20 minutes by train. Edinburgh is an easy day trip, just a 50 minute train ride away, accessible from Queen St Station just 3 subway stops away. I have a specially curated google map of the city's best cafes/restaurants/attractions to send to guests, too.
