What won’t you love about this two-bedroom two-bathroom ocean front condo? From the 11th floor I have the best views of the ocean, the inlet (where the intracoastal and the Atlantic Ocean converge), and the intracoastal waterway for miles and miles around. I’m less than 2 miles from all the shops and restaurants on Flagler Avenue, but since my community is at the end of the road you will have peace and quiet. Expect a constant ocean breeze on your shaded balcony overlooking the ocean. The gated community is like staying in a resort. You will have two pools (one heated) each with a heated jacuzzi. A gas grill to use. A pool room. A ping pong room. A gym.
The sand in front of the condo (and throughout most of New Smyrna Beach) is hard packed sand. It’s perfect for taking a walk, a run, or riding your bike. You can also take your car or golf cart over about half of the beach. When I stay here, I ride my bike down the beach a couple of times a week. But you don’t have to leave the part of the beach that you’re staying in. The best surfers in this part of Florida are using the beach almost directly in front of the condo. You’ll also see people windsurfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, and wakeboarding with a propeller. Some people like to participate, some like to watch from the beach. I like to watch from the balcony. It’s why I have two pairs of binoculars in the condo. They help when I see dolphins beyond the surfers. I also love to watch the large birds (some with fish in their talons) soaring through the sky from the balcony! If birds aren’t your thing, you will also see boats coming down the intracoastal and out into the ocean. There are fishermen in their boats or standing on the rocks where the intracoastal meets the ocean. Like I said before, go participate, go down to the beach to observe, or watch from the balcony.

I love New Smyrna Beach as much as I love my condo. NSB is a lovely area on the Atlantic Ocean due east about 45 minutes from Orlando and 20 minutes south of Daytona Beach. Once you cross the intracoastal waterway you'll see that NSB is unique for several reasons:
1) Zoning. Forget going to Applebees or Outback. There are only a few of the "franchise" style restaurants. Just about all the restaurants and businesses are family owned. You'll have to go back across the intracoastal to find a Home Depot or Best Buy.
2) Nobody is just passing through, which cuts traffic down to people who are staying here. The beach road runs 11 miles and dead ends in both directions. To the south on the beach road there is a dead end to allow a buffer on the north side of Cape Canaveral. To the north along the beach road is the inlet that you can see from the balcony. There is no bridge to drive across that inlet.
3) You can see Smyrna Dunes Park (run by Volusia County) to the north from your balcony. It’s a boardwalk loop that allows you to walk around the Dunes without disturbing the vegetation and wildlife in the dunes. You can walk into the park for free. If you walk to the park from the condo and do the loop it’s about 2 ¾ miles. Also, great views of the ocean and the inlet along the way. Beautiful vistas, sunrises, and sunsets there.
4) NSB has great views of the launches from Cape Canaveral. Many people in NSB go down to the beach to watch the launches. In my building you can walk 15 yards down the hall to watch or go out on the beach.
