o que você amará nesta casa
We offer a large and bright family home in a quiet street where you can walk in your pajamas to pick up pastries for breakfast, go for a swim at a quiet local beach, and head into the historic harbour for some sightseeing before a nightcap at a small cocktail bar.
Enjoy our tranquil garden with play equipment, large fully-stocked kitchen and comfortable living areas.
Within 5 minutes walk are cafes, restaurants, galleries, shops, parks, playgrounds, nightclubs, pubs, bars and multiple public transport options.
It's 10 minutes to the harbour and only 15 minutes by foot to the CBD, less by bus or train. Local buses (within 500m) go to Bondi Beach, the CBD & Barangaroo.
Our traditional terrace house is in a heritage area and over 100 years old. Downstairs is all living space, including lounge, dinning, modern kitchen & bathroom, and a family room that flows out to courtyard garden.
There are three bedrooms upstairs (king, queen and 2 bunk beds for our kids) as well as another modern bathroom with a bath. The house blends historical character with renovated ammenities including air conditioning.

O que vai adorar na vizinhança
Darlinghurst's location is amazing and truly close to all Sydney's main attractions. It is diverse and vibrant with everything on your doorstep, but our street is quiet and calm.
Our many harbourside parks give a taste of living like a local. The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia is a short walk away in Rushcutters Bay, with huge park enjoyed by families, dog walkers and exercise lovers of all ages.
Sydneysiders love going out for breakfast. Bill's restaurant, famous across Australia and Japan, is at the top of our street (ricotta hotcakes are a must-have). You might have to line up for ice cream at Gelato Messina with its quirky flavours. For dinner, choose between modern Asian (we like walking to Billy Kwong in Potts Point) and traditional Italian fine dining in Paddington, or a pub dinner in Kings Cross, again all easy walking distance.
There are many small galleries in the neighbourhood including APY, an Indigenous-owned collective, or Sydney's major galleries including the Art Gallery of NSW are also close by.
Have a cocktail at one of Darlinghurst's rooftop bars, or catch a drag show at the Stonewall Hotel on Oxford Street.
Glenmore Road is the place for some retail therapy, with many Australian fashion designers choosing this location for their boutiques.
On the weekends, the food markets around the El Alamein Fountain are popular.
A bus ride takes you to Darling Harbour and Barangaroo, secluded harbour beaches or the iconic Bondi (20 minutes) - where you must have an Aussie beer at Icebergs Lifesaving Club. Bus stop is at the bottom of the street.

Informação adicional
This is our primary home, and we have young kids, so the house has a comfortable lived-in feeling. You might find some artworks and craft projects by our daughters.
We can provide a beach tent and towels if required, a pram, toys and games, and suggest activities for kids.
As we love to eat out, we can also suggest local restaurants to suit taste and budget.
While it has extensive renovations, our heritage terrace house is one of the oldest in Sydney (built around 1890). Expect to see some peeling paint and local Sydney wildlife (that is, some visiting cockroaches and harmless spiders) as well as flying fruit bats, possums and neighbourhood cats.
