HomeExchangers show generosity, hospitality, and solidarity in times of crisis
HomeExchange's Solidarity group allows members to open their homes temporarely to help those in need of a safe place to stay during a crisis such as: pandemics, fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, floods or war refugees.
HomeExchange launched this Solidarity housing initiative after regularly receiving messages from HomeExchange members looking to help people in need by offering their home. Thank you to our members who have already offered their homes, personifying the hospitality, generosity and solidarity that are part of the HomeExchanger’s DNA. In difficult times, we all become more aware of the strength and importance of a united community.
If you are already a member of HomeExchange, email solidarity@homeexchange.com with your request, or browse the site using the Solidarity search filter for a home that meets your needs.
If you are not a member of HomeExchange, register for free, complete your profile, get your profile verified and contact us at solidarity@homeexchange.com, sharing the link to your profile and in which location you need a place to stay.
We will respond to your email and look for a suitable home for you based on your situation and requests, as well as the availability of homes in your region.
You can also search home listings yourself in the area where you need accommodation, using the “Solidarity” search filter.
We have hundreds of homes available around the world, so we will do our best to match you with an accommodation that suits your needs.
If a suitable home is found, HomeExchange will cover your exchange for up to one month, in order for you to benefit from all the guarantees in case something happens during the exchange.
Cleaning arrangments for the accommodation should be discussed with the host.
