Quaint appartement in a building from 1902, located on the third floor (by stairs, no elevator). The stairs might be too steep for people with limited mobility.
I bought this appartement in December 2023 and since then have spent my time trying to create a cozy city oasis. Altough it is small, it is very light with high ceilings, giving the illusion of spaciousness. I love to cook, so the kitchen is fully stocked. The living room contains a couch that can be turned into a bed and windows on the north, east and southside with nice views over the canals. The bedroom is at the back of the appartement, away from the street, facing west. The bathroom is ensuite style (open), !accessed from the bedroom! and contains a shower. The toilet is separate and accessible from the living room.
Minimum stay of 2 nights
Not suited for people with mobility impairment, due to the steep stairs.
Technically the apartment sleeps 4, one bedroom and one 2 person sofa bed in the living room, but in my opinion it is most comfortable for 1 to 2 adults (possibly with 1 to 2 young children).

The appartement is situated in the historic city of Leiden in the neighbourhood of D’Oude Morsch. Leiden has a beautiful medieval city centre with lots to do. All amenities are at a walking distance, like supermarkets, shops, cafés, museums, boat tours, etc. The appartement lies on route of the Singelpark walk (6km) around the city center.
- 5 minute walk from the central station with trains taking you to Den Haag (11 min), Schiphol airport (15min), Utrecht (41 min), Haarlem (19 min) and Amsterdam (35 min).
- 30 minutes bikeride to the beach in Katwijk or 15 minutes by car.
- The National Museum of Antiquities, the Japan Museum, Lakenhal museum, the Botanical Garden and Wereld(world)museum Leiden are within 10 minutes walking distance.
Perfect for people that don’t want to rent/drive a car, but still want to explore.
