Wat je fantastisch zult vinden in dit huis
Our house is a three-story, narrow historical structure built in 1896. It has charm and character, and our family loves it. Wooden floors and wooden beams, a small private terrace out back, beyond which is a large green space with small playground, and lots of light. At least during the spring, summer and early autumn :).

All of the quaint postcard-motif houses featured in travel guides are within a five-minute walk. We are a three-minute walk from the symphony hall (Musikkens Hus), the Utzon Center (architect of the Sydney opera), Nordkraft, the harbour front, and at the epicentre of many bars (wine, craft beer, local breweries, etc), bakeries, cafés, ice cream shops, and restaurants. The central public library and shopping center are one minute and the pedestrian shopping zone seconds away from our door step. A zoo, Aalborg Street Food, Kunsten Art Museum and many other attractions are within short driving, cycling or public transport distance.
Aalborg boasts Europe's happiest citizens (with their home city https://bit.ly/VisitAalborg), is known as "The Paris of the North", and featured in 2019 on the New York Times' list of 52 places to go https://bit.ly/NYT-VisitAalborg.
Attractions include:
- Scandinavia's largest carnival https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aalborg_Carnival (annually, at the end of May)
- the Tall Ship Races https://www.facebook.com/tsraalborg/?locale=da_DK (every 3 years)
- music and food festivals, and a cozy Christmas market.
- during the summer holiday weeks Nordkraft hosts an indoor beach (should it be too warm outside )
We're also less than 5 km from the entrance to the E45 highway, whether you wish to travel north or south. The sea lies within 30 minutes to the east and to the west. Skagen - where two seas meet - is within 1,5 hours by car.

PLEASE NOTE: Our expectation is that guests will leave the house as clean as it was when they arrived; thus, no cleaning fees are associated with your stay.
The second bathroom is actually only a toilet and sink in the basement, rather than a full bathroom. The two single beds can be pulled out to serve as double beds.
Our parking space includes a Clever charging station for electric cars. However, only car owners with a Clever charging fob can use it.
We will send you a link to our house manual once we finalise a booking. The manual has all the interesting details in it :).
