Wat je fantastisch zult vinden in dit huis
Over 2000 Sq. Ft. 2+bedroom/3BA, my home is a retreat tucked safely and quietly up into the hills above North Oakland next to Berkeley and surrounded by nature. Relax and recharge in an expansive and secluded property with large windows and an open floor plan that create great lighting and a connected, indoor/outdoor transition on top and bottom floors. My home is perfect for small families and traveling friends who want to be close to all the fun and culture of SF bay area city life but just removed to a safe and quiet retreat.
Top floor includes hardwood floors throughout, a wood-burning fireplace, well-equipped, modern and open kitchen connected with dining and family areas, enhanced by a front-yard garden and wrap-around deck in back overlooking private and uninterrupted wooded views. Master bed/bath includes queen bed, walk in closet, recently renovated bathroom with beautiful shower and spa tub. 2nd bedroom doubles as home office with queen bed, desk and private attached bathroom. Lower floor includes private yoga/exercise room convertible into extra bedroom that can sleep two, bathroom, washer/dryer, and large entertainment room. Just outside you'll find a large private deck with comfortable furniture perfect for barbeque gatherings with friends and family, reading or taking a nap with birdsong lulling you to sleep. A large garden below with walking path is filled with a flowers, fruit trees, and several raised beds growing seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Three international airports nearby: Oakland (OAK; 20 minutes), San Francisco (SFO; 40 min), and San Jose (SJC; 50 min – SJC tends to have the lowest airfares).

In the immediate neighborhood, you’ll enjoy leisurely strolls among friends, gorgeous sunsets and beautiful views of the San Francisco bay and surrounding canyons. Sibley Park is a mile walk away if you’re energetic enough, and a few minutes drive further you’ll find many East Bay parks forested with redwood, oak and bay trees, lush with fern and berry and a large network of hiking and biking trails.
There is so much to do nearby…Hike or bike the hills, stroll through nearby villages of Montclair, Rockridge and Piedmont, enjoy the eccentricities and diversity of downtown Berkeley, Uptown Oakland and the Grand Lake area, walk around Lake Merritt, pick up fresh produce at one of the many farmers markets, tour the craft breweries, visit OMCA and the art galleries, see a show at the Fox Theater, dine out at some of the best restaurants in the country. Here for a long stay? Oakland is a good central base camp – 5 minute drive to the Rockridge BART station, San Francisco is a 30 minute subway ride away (20 min by car). With a 45 minute drive you can visit Half Moon Bay, or Marin including the beautiful towns of Mill Valley, and Sausalito, Mount Tamalpais, and the coastal areas around Stinson Beach and Point Reyes. Napa and Sonoma wine country is an hour drive. I’m happy to share my favorite things to do across NorCal.
