Wat je fantastisch zult vinden in dit huis
Available all the year round, except in winter and for parts of July and August, the house is our second home. We live in Paris. Backed by an impressive rockface and facing a beautiful forested hillside, it overlooks the tiled rooftops of the old Provençal village. It has three bedrooms all with private shower rooms, one being en suite with its own separate toilet. Another has a queen-size bed that can be separated into two single beds. There is a fully-equipped eat-in kitchen. Two large terraces, both with fine views, and an upstairs garden offer pleasant possibilities for sunning or relaxing in the shade under the mulberry tree, barbecuing and eating outdoors. For most of the year it is possible to lunch outside on the lower terrace. Evening drinks on the upper terrace are one of the house's special pleasures. The interior is decorated and renovated with period materials and fittings, such as vintage floor-tiles, wooden beams, old doors. Located a short distance away from the main street, the house is completely insulated from traffic noise.

Alleins, with its narrow streets and centuries-old houses, has preserved much of its traditional Provençal way-of-life and character. It is an excellent base for exploring inland Provence - the Camargue, Aix, Les Baux-de-Provence, Avignon, the Luberon, etc., all within easy driving distance. Marseilles and the Mediterranean coast are about an hour away by road. The village has a bakery, restaurants, café, and a well-stocked general store. Comprehensive shopping is available in the supermarkets only a few kilometers from Alleins. Several neighbouring villages sell authentic olive oil direct from the press to the customer. Numerous reputed wine estates are close to hand. Salon-de-Provence, 14 kms away, is also well worth discovering. Walkers can explore the wooded hillside opposite. An 18-hole international-standard golf course is located only 3 kms from the house. Many of the nearby villages have attractive swimming pools and activities for children.
