Our apartment is a 100 sq meter duplex. Unusually the sleeping accommodation is below the living area occupying the 5th floor. A useful feature because one does not hear any noise from above. The exposure is full South and includes a balcony on the 6th Floor and a small terrace off the main bedroom on the 5th floor.
The main bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed and is 'en suite' with a bathroom contain a conventional bath as well as shower room stall. The second bedroom is essentially a multi function room. Can be used as a second bedroom with a double wall bed, entertainment room with a wall mounted smart TV or an exercise room. It also includes a shower room.
A washing and drying machine (laundry area) can also be found on the 5th floor.
The 6th floor comprises a fully equipped kitchen open plan with a dining area and sitting room. A second TV can be found in the sitting room. Reversible AC is found through out the apartment (rare for Paris).
You should note that we do not rent this apartment, consequently it is decorated in a personal style and the general comfort level is high.

Alesia is in the 14th arrondissement of Paris and is a mixture of all social classes. It is a chosen location for academics because the Sorbonne is 15 minutes by bus, as is Science PO and other notable institutions. Montparnasse is a 20 minute walk and amongst other things offers about 35 cinema screens although an 8 screen cinema is only 150 meters away. The neighbourhood is replete with many types of artisans: bakers, cobblers, tailors, carpenters, artists etc.
Public transport includes line metro 4 and three bus lines all within 150 meters. Germain des Près is 15 minutes by metro, Notre Dame about 20 minutes. A perfect location to explore Paris.

Generally my wife and I spend 6 months a year in Paris and the the balance in our house in the US. During our 'Paris' period we often travel and generally we privilege the Côte d'Azur. It is during this Paris period that we are open to a reciprocal exchange.
