Room with queen bed perfect for 1-2 travelers, in our cozy three-bedroom house with one shared bath and full kitchen, walking distance to Kahala beaches. Optional car rental available as well.
**I would greatly appreciate exchanging with people willing to keep a completely vegan kitchen (no animal products).** There are endless restaurants nearby to enjoy anything else you might want. If you are interested in an exchange, please let me know how this will work for you in your message!
I am only able to confirm exchanges a few months out, due to our variable travel schedule. We are most able to offer long-term GP exchanges (1 month or longer) scheduled further in advance.
We are happy to share our cozy three-bedroom house (2 bedrooms + office) with one bath and full kitchen. This house is tucked into the beautiful Diamond Head neighborhood, a short distance from Waikiki. We keep a tidy and peaceful home, and hope our home feels like a sanctuary while still being within walking/biking distance of the most amazing sights and experiences of Oahu. The house was built in the 1950's and has attached neighbors, like much of Oahu.
We have a large, fully-stocked and fully-vegan kitchen! We have a full size fridge/freezer, stove/oven, Vitamix blender, air fryer, bread maker, non-toxic cookware, and lots more. I use all natural non-toxic cleaning products and no unnatural fragrances.
We are in a walkable, very safe neighborhood with natural/organic groceries, cafes, coffee shops, farmers markets, yoga studios and yoga classes in the park, beaches, all within walking/biking distance. Centrally located for easy access to all of south-east Oahu. We love sharing Oahu with visitors and can provide detailed travel guides to help you see the very best of the island (as well as for the neighboring islands if you are also exploring Kauai or Big Island). My car is available for rent, and you are welcome to our surf and stand-up paddleboards, and other beach gear during your stay.

Kapahulu/Kaimuki is the dream Oahu neighborhood! Very safe, walkable, and much quieter than Waikiki. We are close to the Kahala Mall, Kaimuki town, the iconic Diamond Head (hike/viewpoint), bus stops, and endless restaurants. Within a lovely 20-30 minute walk you can reach the quiet beaches of Kahala. A short bike or bus ride will take you to many different types of beaches including bustling Waikiki and the favorite beach of our local monk seals (at Kaimanas Beach). We are close to Kapiolani Park which has yoga and dance classes, fitness boot-camps, art and concert events.
There is no shortage of amazing sights and experiences on Oahu! But please let me know if you'd like me to arrange extra special excursions like sunrise swims with wild dolphins, whale watching and snorkeling with turtles, the most breathtaking hikes, life-changing yoga/coaching....

We are in a very peaceful neighborhood, but we do have many close neighbors and hear dogs barking regularly (super sweet dogs you can meet through our garden fence), and the children around. It is generally very quiet at night.
No smoking or burning of any kind is allowed anywhere on the property.
No shoes indoors anywhere in Hawaii :)
We keep a very clean home and will share tips for your stay, like never leaving open food out or in the cupboards where it will attract bugs and spoil very quickly in the humidity.
If we are away, we have a thriving garden that will need watering every other day - and you are welcome to enjoy the harvest in return!
