Hva kommer du til å elske i dette hjemmet
Welcome to our recently renovated home.
Our open kitchen is the heart of our home and looks out to our garden. We love to cook so our kitchen is well equipped. It blends over into the dining area and family room.
Upstairs, you can find our bathroom. Our modern bathroom is rather small, but has everything that is available to have a perfect shower. The bedrooms are spacious and airy.
The city garden is fully packed with bee friendly flowers. The cosy corners are perfect to relax and enjoy the sun/shade.

Hva du vil elske med dette nabolaget
Our neighbourhood is really great. It is easy accessible and very quiet. As we live at the end of the street there is no pass-through traffic.
We are 100 meter away from our lovely park with playground. The shops, bakery, butcher and pharmacist are within 1km. Our home is 15 min walk from to the city center. The bus stop to the centre is 200m away.
Kortrijk is a smaller city, it is cosy and has many facilities. It is ideal for day tourism, shopping, wining & dining. It has an amazing city pool with 7 slides. The countryside of Kortrijk it lovely too. It is perfect for hiking or take bicycle tour.
Belgium is famous for its beers and delicious chocolate. The following cities are a must-see, but we can also inform you about the more hidden gems.
1) Bruges (30 min)
Beautiful medieval architecture, cobblestone streets and picturesque canals, seems to be straight out of a fairytale. Often called “Venice of the North“, it beckons travelers to tour its squares as well as its tiny back alleys and discover all its wonderful charms.
2) Ghent (30 min)
The student city is defined by canals, churches and cobblestones and it’s strategic location. Ghent used to be one of the most wealthy and populated cities in Europe during the Middle Ages up until the 16th century.
3) Ypres (20 min)
Ypres boasts a historic Cloth Hall, impressive Cathedral and medieval Market Square. Despite centuries of history, this city is best known for what happened here a little over a hundred years ago. It is the unofficial capital of Flanders Fields, site of numerous battles during the First World War. The “City of Peace” still commemorates these events daily, at the In Flanders Fields Museum and under its Menin Gate memorial. Night after night, the Last Post sounds in tribute to the soldiers who fell, ensuring that we never forget this war.
4) Brussels (1h)
Brussels is the capital of Belgium and is also considered the principal city of the European Union. It has all the characteristics of a metropolis, but at the same time is a small tranquil city. It has modern neighborhoods that contrast with its renowned Art Deco buildings, and the streets of Brussels are packed with charm and history and make for a great visit. The city’s most important symbol: The Manneken Piss.
5) Durbuy (2h).
Durbuy is a historic town in eastern Belgium, in the Ardennes region. Although it has fewer than 500 inhabitants, Durbuy nevertheless has city status. Indeed, it's actually the "smallest city in the world", and was first granted this status by a city charter which it received during the Middle Ages. The document remains in force to this day, and Durbuy is still a charming city.
We also recommend visiting Lille (Located in France, 30 minutes away) and Veere (located in the Netherlands, 1h30). Also a day trip to the neighbouring capitals are doable: Paris (1,5h by high speed train) or Amsterdam (2h by high speed train) are doable options. We do it ourselves almost every year. London can be an option too, only 2h away with high speed train.
