My home is a period Edwardian house, refurbished and modernised a few years ago. It is spread over three floors, and there is a separate basement flat in the lower ground floor with it's own entrance. The basement flat will not form part of the house swap.
It has an airy kitchen, dining, garden area; and a separate living room on the ground floor; 2 bedrooms and a shower room on the first floor; and a small bedroom with separate bathroom in the loft (2nd floor).

My home is in the Preston Park area of city - about 15 minutes by car to the beach; and there are bus stops just down the road. The big park is just minutes away, as is a local supermarket, a few shops and a couple of pubs.
The house is right near a mainline station with trains into London (an hour) or into Brighton town centre (5 minutes).

Brighton is sometimes referred to as "London by the sea" and has a rich culture, lots to explore, and many wonderful restaurants. It has 8 miles of beach, and is close to the South Downs National Park and a UNESCO World Biosphere Region.
The local beaches are gorgeous with many eateries and activities (including the i360 observation tower) and places that you can relax, enjoy the views and people watch.
The historic Royal Pavilion was once a private residence of Queen Victoria, and the estate and gardens attract over 1.5 million visitors annually. You can book tours of the royal palace; or simply visit the museum and art gallery, and enjoy events at The Dome theatre.
