Hva kommer du til å elske i dette hjemmet
We love our spacious and bright apartment on the first floor (with lift), surrounded on both sides by water. It has an open living space, with half open kitchen. We love to cook in our fully equipped kitchen and we enjoy our coffees from the automatic espresso machine.
But the main feature we adore the most is the balcony with a 180° view on an old arm of the river Scheldt. It is great to sit there enjoying the morning-midday sun and watching water birds, and the canoes, paddle surfers and non-motorised small boats passing in summer time as well as the numerous walkers in the small street across. Also from the dining table and a small office desk you have a fantastic view over the water. Also the 2 bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, are looking at the main river Scheldt on the other side of the apartment. Hence, you could say we live on a kind of small island. The apartment is furnished in a modern style with decorations from our travels abroad.

The apartment is in the city of Ghent, within walking distance of the historic centre. It is in a quiet neighborhood with green space on the back of the apartment leading to a park and the start of walk-and bicycle paths along the river Scheldt.
There are 2 stops of 2 main tram lines within 500 m taking you the the city centre in less than 10 minutes. There are also 2 bus stops going to the 2 main railway stations. Access to the highway is nearby.
It is of course an ideal spot to explore the city of Ghent. But you can also make day trips by train or car to other major cities like Brugge, Antwerp, Brussels or go to the seaside.
There are 2 big supermarkets within walking distance as well as shops, restaurants and pubs.

There are numerous Cambio car sharing spots within walking distance. There is a public parking place at 400 meter were you are always sure of a parking space (payable). There is the option to use 1 electric bicycle at the apartment and there are various bicycle sharing spots nearby. 2 bikes can be stored safely in the underground parking lot.
