Our newly renovated apartment is in a historic 1930s Art Deco house in a quiet, leafy street next to the Yarra River. We have renovated our apartment in 2022 with a new kitchen, bathroom, and lovely sanded-down floorboards. The kitchen is attached to an open-plan dining/living layout. The patio looks out into nature, towards the Yarra River, and the evening sun shines in beautifully. The apartment is on the 1st floor, with one flight of stairs going up on the outside. There are altogether five apartments in the building, and the neighbours are all lovely. We have a communal garden with a large veggie patch.
We love our apartment, it is very cozy and quaint. We love sitting on the patio in the evening, watching the sun go down, and listening to all the interesting different Australian bird sounds.
We have two bedrooms available for your use. The main bedroom is equipped with a king size bed (1.83 x 2.03m), and the second bedroom has a double bed (1.37 x 1.88m). There is also a single air mattress available to be put up. Air-condition is in the open living space only. The bedrooms are equipped with high quality fans. The apartment is in a brick building and stays cool in summer for a long time.

The Yarra River has lovely walking and cycling tracks (Capital City Bike Trail). The Capital City Bike Trail brings you right to Melbourne's inner city via a lovely bike trail. It takes about 25-30 min to cycle to the city center. The area has also many walking options. It is lovely to go for evening walks along the Yarra river.
Hawthorn has a vibrant dining and shopping scene, with a wide range of restaurants, cafes, and boutiques catering to every taste and style. Only a short walk away from the apartment are amazing cafes and restaurants. The apartment is also within easy walking distance of Richmond as well as Glenferrie Road. Both are bustling areas for shopping, cafes, pubs, and dining options. Also, just a short walk along the Yarra River brings you to Victoria Shopping Centre.
Hawthorn is well-connected to public transportation. It takes 10-15 min (walking) to Hawthorn train station, and only 2 minutes to the tram station.
