Our home is situated on the south side of Frösön, right next to lake Storsjön. From the terrace and the living room we have a stunning view over the lake and the mountains. In the morning you can go down a small trail for a morning swim from the rocky beach or from the pier (200 meter). End the day by doing a SUP ride on the perfectly calm lake during sunset.
The house was built in the year 2000 and has a typical Scandinavian feel with birch wooden floors and light colors and materials. It is well maintained, fully equipped and conveniently located only 10 minutes from the airport (Östersund Åre airport) and 10 minutes from the railway station (Östersund C).
We have plenty of equipment for different types of outdoor activities at your disposal, including:
2 SUP (Stand up paddleboards)
5 mountain bikes (2 adult, 3 kids)
1 electrical bike
1 regular bike
1 road bike
Tents and camping equipment
Inlines (sizes 36-45)
There are two charging stations for electric vehicles. An electric vehicle is offered for your use during your stay - there are so many places to see within a days travel!

Jämtland county, situated in northern Sweden, is well known for its beauty. Many people from all over Sweden, and the Nordic countries, come here to enjoy the outdoors by the lakes, rivers and the beautiful Scandinavian mountains. If your lucky you might also experience the Northern light, with it's amazing scenery of lights in different formations and colors.
There are great opportunities for all kinds of outdoor activities both in summer and winter. Water sports are popular. Several mountain bike trails and slopes for downhill are within a couple of minutes biking distance from the city. Hiking and camping is a summer favorite of many locals.
In winter, many people actually take their skis or skates to go to work. On the weekends, almost everybody takes to the mountains to hit the slopes or ride snowmobiles.
It’s a great place to stay and a great place to live!

The well known outdoor museum is a kids favorite. The major part of Frösön comprises countryside like areas with fields and forests.
The well known mountain town of Åre is only one hour drive away with plenty of bars, restaurants and things to do. If you fancy something less crowded, try a trip to the Wilderness road (Stekenjokk) - where you travel in some of Sweden's least populated and most dramatic scenery.
