The property featured (Chez Nicolas) is located at Le Manoir de Longeveau, on the Charente / Dordogne border in south west France. Longeveau (longeveau.com) is a 16th century, former cognac estate. This is our business and we have multiple properties of shapes and varying sizes that we can offer for swap or points!
The estate is elegant yet relaxed with a friendly ambiance where guests can do as much or as little as they wish. We offer a nine hole golf course, tennis courts, swimming pools (private and shared), play areas and table tennis. Our clubhouse offes a bar and restaurant with a south facing terrace. Little ones can attend our professionally staffed crèche, which runs in the summer. There are also acres of open countryside to explore nearby and our local village of Aubeterre sur Dronne is listed ‘plus villages de France’ (one of the prettiest villages in france!) with historic buildings, fabulous restaurants and a lovely river beach. Only slightly further afield is the Unesco World Heritage sites of Saint Emilion,and Lascaux, not to mention the aray of wineries and distilleries from Cognac to the Gironde Estuary.
Our pretty gîtes sleep from two to eight and are nestled in small clusters scattered amongst the 30 acres of beautiful grounds. All have been renovated to a high standard, mainly from old farm buildings and each has charming original features including old beams and exposed stonework. Properties offer open-plan living areas with well-equipped kitchens plus all of the amenities that would would expect. Each has a private outdoor seating area and BBQ, for quiet nights ‘at home’. Or make the most of the bar’s terrace for meals and drinks, or one of our communal BBQ nights! Chez Nicolas (featured) benefits from a private swimming pool and is located close to the heart of the village.
