El Rompido
This is heaven for us!
Close-by to the only wild beach in Europe that is currently left – check out Playa La Flecha del Rompido. Please note it can be accessed by boat only, and luckily there is a public boat that can take you there and back many months in the year (dates to be confirmed).
Depending on guarantees received we can also let you use our own private golf buggy, with which we are in the local fishermen town of El Rompido in less than 10min, and its beautiful port.
El Rompido is a unique un-spoilt fishermen village with amazing restaurants, all still reasonably priced, lovely people and service.
If in addition to the sea and the beach you love golfing… Or tennis, paddle-tennis, wind-surf, sailing, or even donkey or Segway riding: it is a nature paradise! With so many unbelievable activities, you will be spoilt for choice.
In regards to our home, it offers our main bedroom, with one large bed and a very nice garden view, with en-suite bathroom (shower only). Another larger bedroom which we call "guest bedroom", it is two beds, and also an en-suite bathroom (shower only). Plus there are two additional rooms which can either host two pax each. Or four pax each when you open the double beds. In the picture you can see them opened and also closed. These are double-beds that are suitable not only for kids but also for adults. We have a lot of family staying over on a regular basis! They are very confortable beds which hold a maximum of 100 kgs each bed. All matresses are new, as is the house, we inaugurated it in summer 2019. These last two rooms share one bathroom (with bath tub that can be used as shower too). We have had some amazing summers here, and love it dearly. The house and its location, and all the SUPER nice people who live in our "urbanización" and in the area. We very much hope you are excited when you read this, and please do not hesitate to reach out once you read and are OK with the "additional information" added below, in regards to cleaning/ deposit fee and minimum stay.

One hour and a bit to lovely Seville, one hour drive to well-connected Faro airport, less than 30min drive to Portugal and some more amazing beaches.
Close to Doñana National Park, a natural reserve in Andalucía that is a protected area. Marshes, shallow streams, and sand dunes in Las Marismas, established as a nature reserve in 1969, with a biodiversity that is unique in Europe. Thousands of European and African migratory birds, fallow deer, Spanish red deer, wild boars, European badgers, Egyptian mongooses, and endangered species such as the Spanish imperial eagle and the Iberian lynx. Considered the largest nature reserve in Europe, several different scientific institutions have monitoring stations within its boundaries to ensure appropriate development of adjacent lands and conservation of the threatened species that inhabit it. The area was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994.
Another interesting excursion is going to El Rocío, in the countryside of Almonte: especially if you are a horse lover! It has a feel of a Texas village, with many of its inhabitants on horses most of the day, and restaurants and bars offering good horse-stops for having a drink. Or two! The hermitage El Rocio is home to the “Virgen del Rocío”, a small, much-venerated carved wood statue, and is the destination of an annual procession/pilgrimage on the second day of the Pentecost, known as the Romería de El Rocío, which in recent years just before COVID was bringing together roughly a million pilgrims every year.
In Aracena there is an interesting “Museo del Jamón”, for Spanish ham lovers, and also a number of private bull farms and fincas, a lovely small hilly area which is cool and kept very local and non-touristy.
There is so much on offer that you will not have enough time to do it all!

Other plans for you to consider while in the area:
If you feel like relaxing and not moving around much, please do not miss a short visit to "Doña Gamba", a non-expensive restaurant with amazing views over the port. It may be the best "gambas" or prawns you ever tried, at an unbelievable price! Busy, informal, fast and fun. Or the more posh "Restaurante La Casa El Palo", with a strong focus on tuna, and tables that have a lovely view over the Ria and its fisher boats. Since recently some of the tables are literally on the sand itself, next to the fisher boatds! If you were ever stressed, you may wonder why, and finally realise the beauty of a more simple lifestyle...
We do not do home exchanges during those times of the year. There is a 4 day minimum stay: you can come for a shorter period, however there is a 4 day minimum charge on guest points required. There is a professional cleaning fee charged for any stay. I expect that your property will be professionally cleaned as well. The cleaning fee is EUR300 to be paid upon arrival.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions about the Andalucia area. You will love the property and the entire region. It's a wonderful place to relax and take in the best life has to offer!
