Our country house was built in 2019 and is located in a gated community only 50 min from Reykjavik.
There are 5 bedrooms in the property. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and separate bathroom and shower.
There are 3 identical bedrooms in the house all with double beds.
There is also a TV room with a 60” TV with all the international stations.
The 5th bedroom has a queen size bed and is located in a separate cabin 50meters from the main house in a cozy secluded part of the land where the jacuzzi is also located.
The family bathroom is tiled floor to ceiling with beautiful italian tiles.
The kitchen/dining/living room area is open plan and is bright and airy with beautiful views from all sides. There is a large 3 sided wood burning fire place.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer, wine cooler, oven, span stove, blender, coffee machine and dishwasher.
From the living room you walk onto the patio that surrounds the entire house offering different seating areas to suit the weather/time of day.
The main patio is southern facing and is mostly overbuilt with a ceiling heater giving us the opportunity of sitting outside well into the night. This is our family’s favorite place on long summer nights.
The house has floor heating and high ceilings … bright and spacious.
There is a jacuzzi in a beautiful quiet part of the land - that we use all year round.
The location of the house is unique as it sits high in the land yet is very secluded. The view from the living room is stunning overlooking the woods and the river Hvita.
There is a Bbq on the patio as well as a small basketball court and grass for playing football/games.
The parking area is 70 meters from the house with a short walk up to the house.

The house overlooks the river Hvita and one of the largest pine tree wood in Iceland. Cycling and walking trails are in the surrounding area. Kerid is only 10 min drive away, Laugarvatn 30min drive, Thingvellir 30 min drive, Gullfoss & Geysir 40 min drive away… just to mention a few of the local attractions around.
There are several golf courses near by and the nearest swimming pool is 20 min drive away.
The nearest towns, Hveragerdi and Selfoss are only a 15 min drive from the house and offer shops and restaurants.
