Our home is located in the geographic center of San Francisco, the neighborhood of West Portal. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom all located on the second floor..
The front bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and the second bedroom has two single beds. (trundle) The house is 1340 sq ft, quiet, clean, smoke-free and dog/cat-free. There is a nice bathroom with walk-in shower and separate tub, a fully-equipped kitchen, living room with 55" 4KUHD TV with premium cable, and a dining room with french doors leading to the backyard and the private jacuzzi and gas BBQ. Washer and dryer in garage.
Because of the excellent location and convenient public transportation mere steps away, our home affords limitless options for sightseeing, dining out and enjoying San Francisco and the surrounding environs. Most visitors use the convenient public transportation and forego a car.
GOLF:
Three major golf courses are within five miles of our home including The Olympic Club, Harding Park, and Lincoln Park. Thirty minutes south of the city is the elegant Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay and its award-winning course.
SURFING.
We are a 10 minute drive from Ocean Beach, a popular spot for surfers.
BICYCLES.
We have two bicycles which you are welcome to use. San Francisco is becoming increasingly bike-friendly although the hills can be daunting.
GETTING AROUND.
We are directly across the street from a bus stop serving major bus lines. The MUNI Metro subway station is a five minute walk. It's quite easy to navigate without a car. Ample, free parking is available in front of the house and in the surrounding residential neighborhood.

Our house is centrally located and just steps away from public transportation. We are across the street from Mount Davidson, a nice place for an easy hike offering lovely views of the city and the Bay.
Golden Gate Park, The Pacific Ocean, Haight-Ashbury District, the Castro District and Noe Valley are all very close-by. Major museums and theaters are easily and conveniently accessible by public transportation. Boundless opportunities to explore nature await across the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties.
Our neighborhood is a highly-desirable, leafy residential area with many amenities. WEST PORTAL AVENUE, the hub of the neighborhood, is home to a drug store, various specialty shops and a MULTITUDE of restaurants including Italian, Middle Eastern, Peruvian, Indian, Japanese, and Chinese. There are two popular pizzerias, three coffee shops, a public library, ice cream and frozen yogurt shops, two sandwich shops, an independent bookstore, nail and hair salons, produce market and shoe repair shops...and more, ALL WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE.
Fog Alert! San Francisco is famous for its fog. So famous, in fact, that locals have given it a name ,"Karl" , and it boasts its own Facebook page. Our neighborhood gets a LOT of fog, especially in the summer. San Francisco weather is unpredictable so dressing in layers is highly recommended. Bring a jacket!
