Imagine waking up surrounded by tropical garden each day with hummingbirds, macaws and an occasional toucan as visitors. My home is my retreat space, very comfortable and a great place for deeper relaxation. It is also a great family friendly home. It has a saltwater pool and plenty of covered outdoor space to enjoy the tropical magic rain or shine. Inside there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (all doors located centrally) - featuring a king size bed, a queen size bed (and also it is possible to add a second queen bed, snuggly into the queen room). AC in both bedroom allows for great sleep and also circulates throughout the house to keep it cool and fresh. The living room has a high ceiling and is open to the kitchen. You will find all the essentials and more in the kitchen, as well as a few books and games and oracle decks on the shelves. The house has many glass windows and doors so you see and feel the surrounding garden from all spaces.
Near to the house is a newly built casita - typically when guests are in the house I use his as storage space (you are also welcome to store suitcases here during your trip, use the space discerningly, or access the second bathroom in case of emergency).
Please Note: we have a cat, who is easy going and loves guests, that needs to be fed and loved on. We ALSO have chickens- they are pretty simple to care for and will give you fresh eggs daily in exchange.

I live on the South Pacific coast of Costa Rica, 20 minutes south of the more touristic destination of Uvita. ((4.5 hrs from the SJO airport))
My home is located in a small village, that primarily is a mix of locals, French, French Canadians, Canadians, and US immigrants. It is a 10 minute drive to the nearest beaches, 3 minutes to the nearest river spots, and about 5 minutes to the local supermarket, pharmacy, specialty stores, cafes and restaurants. There are a couple small weekly markets that bring fresh produce and other local goodies.
I am located in a laidback neighborhood, it is pretty flat to arrive (no 4x4 needed, though a car is pretty essential), I am on a dead end street so it is very private and peaceful and facing towards the nearest mountain.

It’s a journey to get here, but worth it! Taxi, car rental, and bus are all options from the airport. It takes about 4.5 hours with great views along the way.
You will need a car to really enjoy the area. I sometimes have car rentals available or can help direct you towards one.
