Absolute Magic (the name of my floating home :)) is heaven on the water. Beautiful, spacious windows bring in wonderful natural light and provide sweeping, almost 360* views of Mount Tam, the Marin Headlands, the bay and all the way to Angel Island and the Bay Bridge on a clear day; you can step out and go paddle boarding or kayaking right from the patio, which is also just a great place to relax on a warm day.

Sausalito is a wonderful town--and the neighborhood is a lovely, close-knit community. We are just fifteen minutes from the Palace of Fine Arts and the Presidio in San Francisco, a half hour (traffic permitting) from natural treasures like Stinson Beach and Muir Woods, and a 30-40 minute walk to lovely shops and restaurants in town (I'll leave you a list of all my favorites). There are great bike and hike paths (and places to rent bikes) right nearby, and it's super easy to get out on the water as well.

Absolute Magic is a floating home--while it is stationary settled in a large concrete barge (tied on all four corners), it is in a tidal zone and will move up and down as tide comes in and out, and will also sometimes rock gently side to side. During weather events, its movement can be significant. If you get sea sick or otherwise motion sick, this is something to be aware of!
The house is smoke and shoes free (though you are welcome to smoke on the patio, please don't ash in the water :)). Slippers will be provided! Please let me know if in advance if you would like to bring pets--my own dogs are hypoallergenic and unfortunately I do have pet allergies of my own.
