You are welcome in our beautiful, comfortable home in Schimmert, a small village in a beautiful environment great for hikes, and close to tourist hotspots like Maastricht and Valkenburg aan de Geul.
Our home is a calm and ecofriendly sanctuary, 15 minutes away from the city of Maastricht and 5 minutes from the beautiful tourist hotspot village Valkenburg aan de Geul. We live in a village with friendly people, where you can enjoy the calm environment but you can also enjoy the closeness of cities and tourist hotspots.

The neighborhood is known for the beautiful nature surroundings with an abundance in nice hikes. There is a supermarket at walking distance and a few great restaurants. Beautiful hikes in the whole neighborhood. And close to beautiful cities as Maastricht, Aachen (Germany) and Liège (Belgium). All withinhalf an hour drive. The scenic village Valkenburg aan de Geul with its many pubs and restaurants is only 5 to 10 minutes away.

The guest room is available when we are home. You will share the bathroom and kitchen with us, but we are social as well as clean people, so you won’t be bothered by us.
The guest room is not very big and has a smaller double big (140 cm width and 200cm long), but it is very comfortable. There is a second room available if needed, which is normally the study room with a put-up bed.
The house has a lot of luxury: a huge shower, a big bathtub (that can be enjoyed by 2 people), a kitchen with induction stove, quooker (boiling water from the tap), refrigerator with filtered water and ice cubes, microwave/oven and dishwasher. There is a fireplace for extra coziness and a huge television screen for the home cinema feel.
You can also book the whole house when we are not at home. Look for available periods in the calendar of our house. But you are welcome to ask us for other options too (we are open to create possibilities).
