I live in a 42m² modern one room apartment by the entry floor, built in 2016. The apartment consists of a kitchen, big bathroom and big balcony and features an open space with living room, bedroom and kitchen all in the same room. The double bed is 160cm*200cm and the sofa bed is a smaller double put up bed at 120cm*200cm. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, stovetop, dishwasher and kitchen devices. There is a big kitchen table for 6 people. The bathroom is also quite big with necessities like washing machine & tumble dryer. The balcony is 10 m² and furnished with chairs to enjoy the sun all day long.
You can both explore Stockholm city and also go on adventures in the nearby nature reserves and many lakes.

The area is a green and calm suburb with mostly families living in villas outside Stockholm encircled by nature reserves. Nearby you can take long hikes in the nature reserves or bike to the nearby mountain bike tracks or visit lakes and beaches and a nice park which you can relax in as well just outside the apartment.
Pleasant things to do in the nearby neighbourhood:
*Drevviken lake - this is the closest small beach only 15 minutes walk from the apartment.
*Biking around Älta & the surroundings - I have 2 bikes free to borrow.
*Summer restaurant Älta brygga by Älta lake serving hamburgers and poke bowls with live music sometimes.
*Renting kayaks close to Älta brygga restaurant and paddle in a narrow Canal from Älta lake towards the city.
*Mountainbike lanes at Hellasgården with the nice mountainbike café Källtorp, with a well with water so fresh you can drink it straight away.
A little further away:
*The beach Erstavik - a big sandy beach in a nature reserve by the sea. It's a beautiful countryside bike ride to get there, sometimes you might be able to see hundreds of deer hanging out in the field in the evening.
*Nacka strand where they have several restaurants and cafées by the water and the dock. Lot's of boats passing by towards the archipelago.
*Ferry from Nacka strand to the museum Island Djurgården with beautiful walks and places like Rosendals Castle, Rosendals Gardén Café, Waldemarsudde art house, Skansen outdoor zoo, etc.

There are several public transportation buses that take you to the city center in around 45 minutes. You switch from bus to metro at Gullmarsplan or Slussen. The buses run a couple of times per hour and are quite punctual. Here are some options:
The main bus stop is 3 minutes walk from apartment. It leaves around every 30 minutes during the day. The bus goes to green metro line Gullmarsplan where you can switch to the metro green line towards Södermalm, The old town or City Center etc.
There are also nightbuses that leave from Gullmarsplan, and you can also take 2 other buses, but then the walk from the bus stop is 15 minutes.
It takes about 20-30 minutes to Stockholm city center by car with plenty of parking spaces beside my apartment.
