My home is stylish, elegant, comfortable, cosy and homely. It's a two-up two-down Victorian terrace full of character and colour. The kitchen is well stocked so this house is great for those who love to cook. The living room is focused around a wood burner stove and is designed for conversation or relaxation. There is no TV but there is a Bluetooth receiver connected to speakers for those music fans amongst you. There is a dedicated garden office with internet and heating which doubles as a very comfortable additional bedroom with a large double sofa bed. There is a private garden with a table and chairs for catching the sun in the evenings.

The street is a quiet road, with no traffic noise, and little activity. The locals are friendly and the area is very safe and tucked away. Within a 5-minute walk, you have gorgeous landscapes including forests, footpaths, and the Stour Estuary as well as a children's play area. Also within a 5-minute walk is Mistley Train Station, as well as the local restaurant The Thorn, and a quaint cafe and art gallery on the Mistley Quay.

Mistley is a small village next to Manningtree, one hour by train from London Liverpool Street on the direct train line and 30 minutes from Harwich International Port. You can easily get here without a car. Trains run every hour direct to London from Mistley Train Station so if you wish to visit London from the English countryside this is the perfect place. If you would like to escape London for a weekend of fresh air and expansive landscapes, it is also perfect.
There is a local shop within a 5-minute walk and the main town of Manningtree is a 20-minute walk where you will find supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, galleries, pubs and a wine bar.
From here there is loads to explore, such as Manningtree, Flatford Mill, Dedham Vale, and Dedham Village are all local and within an hour/1.5 hours walk. Then by train/bus or car you can easily get to the historic city of Colchester with its castle, bustling town centre and great nightlife and equally 30 minutes in the other direction you have Ipswich, the heart of Suffolk which is a lovely Waterfront town with medieval history, great shopping and a growing cultural and music scene.
If you want the seaside then Harwich is 20 mins on the train and offers great winter walks by the sea or summer days on the beach. Or if you are driving you have many beaches and seaside towns in North Essex and over the river in Suffolk. Places like Aldeburgh and Southwold are totally doable as day trips and are all within an hour by car.
From here you can explore Suffolk or Esse easily, with brilliant day trips on offer. Recommendations would be Mersea Island, Felixstowe, Ipswich, Colchester and the Suffolk Coast in general.
