Our home is a great combination of "rustic", "elegant", and "functional" all blended together to make a comfortable laid-back beach house. Tile floors keep things easy to clean as bringing in some sand from the beach is inevitable. A spacious master bath with double sinks and an oversized walk-in shower with huge bathtub welcome you back from the surf. Curl up on the large sofa for a movie or to "do what you do" via the fiber optic internet connection.
The home itself is situated on the grounds of a larger condominium complex with a large 20 meter pool overlooking the ocean, a jacuzzi, and direct access via a ramp to the beach. The home is situated toward the entrance within its own fenced-in yard and features a large screened-in porch with wood-fired oven, sitting area, charcoal grill, outdoor firepit, small bouldering wall, a hardwood ping-pong table (turns into a large outside family dining table), and trampoline.
Inside we have 2 children's play/project rooms (could be used as bedrooms/offices), a large loft that can be used for exercise/yoga/office workspace. There is a weight bench and some exercise equipment (including 10 and 20kg kettlebells) in the loft space that you are welcome to use.
Bikes are available for riding into town. We have a friendly dog and three outdoor cats and we do employ a caretaker who looks after the pets, gardens, and house maintenance while we're away.
We are happy to help your coordinate travel within Ecuador and can recommend and arrange for trusted drivers to pick you up the airport.

Our neighborhood is the small beachtown of San Clemente, Ecuador. Friendly locals, nearby restaurants and wide-open beaches have a very "laid back beachtown" feel.
There is a BnB just up the road run by Canadians that offers tours including kayaking, paddle-boarding, and guided biking day trips for when you're in the mood to explore. There are miles of beach to the north and south to wander and look for shells, shark's teeth, pottery shards from past civilizations, and fossil horse-teeth. The coastline to the north is mostly undeveloped and on a falling tide you can ride a bike along this "lost coast" all the way to the nearby city of Bahia. Fisherman will be out collecting oysters, lobster and octopus on the lowest tides. Deep sea fishing can be chartered from Bahia and there are many delicious restaurants both in the nearby cities as well as locally. Never a dull moment unless you want one!
We love living on the beach and visiting the mountains. It is a short 30-minute flight to Quito from Manta, our nearby city with airport. If you are looking to do short trips to the volcanoes or want to get a taste of the Sierra, our home makes an excellent base for exploration. We are close to three separate cities, Manta, Portoviejo, and Bahia but not "too" close to any of them meaning that we have access to amenities but a very nice "quiet-beach" small town feel. There are many local restaurants and small shops within walking distance and we'll make sure you have all of the phone numbers you'll need for moto-taxis, fresh seafood delivery, pizza, and the connections to get local food from restaurants delivered to the house if you like.

As per the condo complex rules, we are only able to welcome a max of 6 guests at a time.
Feel free to contact us during unlisted time-frames and we can likely host you during short stays while we are in the home for a lower Guest Point rate.
