A private house with a garden in the beautiful town of Akureyri in northern Iceland. Akureyri is a town of 18.000 and closeby are a lot of interesting places like the geothermally active area of Lake Mývatn which is one hour away. Amazing nature and a lot of possibilities for outdoor acrivities.
On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, one with a 120 cm bed and the other with a 90 cm bed. A pop up bed can be added. There is also a bathroom with a shower and a laundry room. On the upper floor there is one bedroom with a 152 cm bed. There is another bathroom with a bathtub/shower, a living room with a tv, a well equipped kitchen with a dining area.
The house is almost 80 years old but we have renovated it a lot. Last summer we changed the flooring on the upper floor and 10 years ago we installed a new kitchen and a new bathroom on the upper floor.

A calm street just next to the center of the town and to an excellent swimming pool with various hot tubs, waterslides, sauna and a childrens pool.
Akureyri is a town of 18.000 inhabitants. It is calm in way but also full of life. In the center there are a lot of cafés, pubs and restaurants. There are two good concert venues if you are interested in music. The town is in a very beautiful fjord surrounded by mountains and close by are a lot af beautiful sites lake the Lake Mývatn area where you can see amazing lava formations and a geothermally active area. There are also a lot of interesting waterfalls close by. It is possible to take a whale watching trip from the town which is very popular. Many af the surrounding mountains are interesting for hiking. On a good day the view from the peaks is breathtaking.

We also have a secondary home, a small but very cozy cottage in a forest 25 minutes away from our home.
