Welcome to the heart of vibrant SouthSide, one of Chattanooga's most dynamic, walkable neighborhoods! We're open to Points exchanges from Sunday afternoon to Friday mornings most weeks - please ask us! Recently redesigned home from top to bottom for your comfort and to accommodate 10 guests. Downstairs is a living room that includes the dining room and kitchen. Kitchen comes fully equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher, large pantry, and supplies for cooking and baking. For coffee drinkers, there is a French Press, Nespresso machine and regular drip machine. Downstairs, there is also a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a full bathroom with laundry (washer and dryer, iron), that also doubles as the TV room. For the TV, we have an HDMI cord and a Google Chromecast to stream content from your devices to the TV. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (2 rooms with queen beds and 1 room with 2 extra-long twin trundle beds that sleeps 4) and 1 full bathroom with bathtub/shower. Each bedroom has new mattresses, sheets, duvets with covers changed after each guest, pillows (down, down alternative and memory foam are available) and both drapes and blinds. For our littlest visitors, we have a box of toys, unbreakable dishes, high chair and travel crib, as well as outlet covers on electrical outlets. There is room for 2 to 3 cars in the back, but no garage.

We are in a truly great location in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Our home is in the heart of the SouthSide neighborhood of Chattanooga, Tenneesee, where a week won’t be enough time to explore all the neighborhood has to offer, let alone Chattanooga.
About Chattanooga: Chattanooga sits in a historically important junction of rivers and the edge of the Appalachian Mountains / Smokey Mountains. Its official nickname is "Scenic City", alluding to the surrounding by mountains and ridges. This location meant that Chattanooga played a critical role in the American Civil War and was the site of several important battles. After the war, the railroads fueled the city’s growth into one of the southeast’s largest heavy industrial hubs. In recent years, Chattanooga has received national recognition for the renaissance of its beautiful downtown and redevelopment of its riverfront.
About SouthSide Neighborhood: Southside Chattanooga is a dynamic, walkable neighborhood teeming with art, shopping and culinary experiences unlike anything else in the city. Once you arrive, say goodbye to your car and explore SouthSide and downtown Chattanooga by foot or by bike from your front door. There is also a bus 9 stop 1 minute from the house and a free shuttle at the Chattanooga Choo Choo that both take you downtown. Also, be on the alert for festivals: Chattanooga loves its festivals and usually has something happening every weekend in the spring through fall.

<5 minute walk: Grab fresh pastries and bread at Niedlov’s Cafe & Bakery; relax over breakfast / brunch at the Bluegrass Grill, Adelle’s Creperie, or Frothy Monkey; enjoy a pint or two at our local restaurant / bars (the Flying Squirel, Fountainhead Taproom, the Terminal BrewHouse, Stir, the Frothy Monkey, the Bicycle Bar, etc); slurp up noodles at Alex’s Thai Food and Noodle Bistro, delicious tacos and enchiladas at Taqueria Jalisca Ania, pan-Latin cuisine at Conga Latin, Argentine and Peruvian food at State of Confusion; great burgers at Slick’s Burgers; tasty Italian at Alleia’s; meander down pedestrian-friendly Station Street; challenge yourself at the Chattanooga Escape Room Games; embrace your inner viking at Valkerie Ax Throwing; or test your climbing and parkour skills at Synergy Climbing and Ninja.
5-10 minute walk (or <5 minute bike ride): Explore the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo (which has ice skating in winter); take a tour of Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery and cocktail lounge; have tea at the Wildflower Tea and Apothecary Shop; indulge your sweet tooth at Clumpie’s Ice Cream Co or the Hot Chocolatier; jive at HiFi Clyde’s Chattanooga to live music while eating BBQ; work up a sweat at Main Terrain Art Park with its large iron sculptures and outdoor gym equipment; grab comfort food and drinks at Feed Table and Tavern.
<10 minute bike ride (or <5 minute drive): For all these places, you can pick up a bike at the Bike Chattanooga station 1 minute from our house, return the bike at your destination, walk around then pick up a new bike to ride home - all for $8 / day or $15 / 3 days. Visit the amazing Tennessee Aquarium with its separate freshwater and saltwater aquariums; set your little ones free at the Creative Discovery Museum; if you’re there on Sunday, munch your way through the Chattanooga Market (one of the best farmers’ markets in the South); explore the 33-acre Sculpture Fields at Montague Park designed and curated by John Henry, world-renowned artist; pay your respects to fallen solders and veterans buried at the Chattanooga National Cemetery since 1863; Bike to the Riverwalk at Blue Goose Hollow Trailhead (return your bike) and walk to downtown Chattanooga.
Further afield (driving distance): visit Rock City Gardens at the top of Lookout Mountain; see Ruby Falls, the tallest underground waterfall open to the public (also try the High Point Zip Adventures); on a hot day, dip in one of the many swimming holes near Chattanooga; go river rafting on the Ocoee River; brush up on your history at Chickamauga Chattanooga National Military Park, the oldest and the largest military parks in the nation established by Civil War veterans from both armies in 1889; take a ride on the Tennessee River on the Southern Belle Riverboat; walk or drive a portion of the Cherokee Trail of Tears.

This home is offered as a rental home, usually booked for months at a time. We usually have guest in it but there may be short term availability when we are between guests so feel free to ask. There is a cleaning fee of $150.
