What you will love about this home

Our 3BR/2B house is very light filled private and lovely. Santa Fe is located in the high desert mountains with perfect weather year round - sunny skies, hot/warm days, cool nights and snow in the winter! Our home is located at The Commons (http://santafecohousing.org/) an established lovely co-housing community 3 miles to the downtown plaza of Santa Fe and close to everything else! There are playgrounds, chickens, a shady hammock, a park nearby and the Santa Fe River (when it is flowing).

We have an extra bedroom and bathroom we are willing to have folks use when we are here. It is separate from our two upstairs bedrooms and quite private. Listing #2225151

Our community is safe and friendly for children and all ages. We have a shady courtyard for outdoor dining and our hot tub is under a grape arbor on a side patio.

We have two bedrooms upstairs. One is the master bedroom with queen size bed and attached bathroom with a large deep tub. The other is our daughter's room with a double bed. Our third bedroom is our son's room with a queen bed downstairs. We have a large L-shaped couch in the living room that is really comfortable and can sleep 1-2 people if needed.

Our living space is open and airy with concrete floors and radiant floor heat. There is a well appointed kitchen, bright central dining room with a big table good for gathering and a spacious but cozy living room. We have a TV, DVD, stereo/CD player. Our house is very comfortable to live in, simple and not cluttered. We have a colorful backyard for dining and gathering and a hot tub that is always ready to go.

We have two cats (Leche & Boba) and a dog (Puck). We often leave the cats when we exchange and could leave our dog too. We can be flexible with this! We listed ourselves as an "allergy-free home" since we do not use any scented products or chemicals in our house nor does our community.

There is a bike path, bus line, or easy drive to the downtown plaza, Railyard District, museums, Meow Wolf, breweries, and the mountains and other sights are a short drive.

We can charge a cleaning fee of $100-150 (depending of number of folks and time at our house) or you can clean yourself. We just need to know in advance what your preference is! A two night minimum stay is preferred.

What you will love about this neighborhood

Santa Fe is a wonderful place to visit and to live! Here is a link to discover more. http://www.santafe.org/ We are located in the high desert nestled up against the Sangre de Cristo mountain range and situated at 7000 foot elevation. This makes for very agreeable weather, sunny most of the time with summer thunderstorms in the afternoon and snow in the winter. This town has a world class art market and opera house (summer season only). As well as beautiful hiking and mountain scenery. There is so much to do here! We have 2 young adult children and we love being in nature with them.
From our house you can ride bikes or take the bus to the downtown plaza area, Canyon Road area with many galleries, the Railyard District with local shops, restaurants, park, playground, movie theatres and galleries and the Railrunner Train! We have a little oasis in our home very near the urban centers of Santa Fe.

Take the Railrunner train between Albuquerque, including the airport, and Santa Fe. A great way to travel!

Albuquerque is an hour away, the Grand Canyon is only 7 hours and Mexico is 5 hours to the south. There are numerous other excursions to view Native American sites (Chaco Canyon, Bandolier to name a few) and many other historic sights. We can recommend many great New Mexican restaurants and other types as well as local hikes and get-a-ways.
