What you will love about this home
Our apartment is located right in the heart of Berlin. From here most of the sights are in walking distance.
What you will love about this neighborhood
We live right in the middle of Berlin, walking distance to a lot of sights like the Brandenburger Gate, Alexander Platz with the TV Tower, Potsdamer Platz (Sony Center), Tiergarten, Government Quarters (Reichstag) and so on.
Also in walking distance is the famous train station Friedrichstraße as well as Berlin Central Station.
Our street and the area around is very nice, clean and a child friendly place. Ver international and almost everybody seems to speak english, most likely at least one other language. About 100 meter up the road is a small park with 2 playgrounds and the Castle pub, bakerys, cafés and a small grocery dtore is right next door.
Many bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as art galleries and museum island (again, all in walking distance) allow it to meet people and hear a lot of interesting stories!
Read a book at Beach Mitte, have a beer at Prater Biergarten, stroll trough the gallery of the old Hamburger Bahnhof, experience the nightlife at Warschauer Straße, or explore the many christmas markets... no matter which season, if you are looking for history, to meet People, for fun or for a bit of everything, Berlin is a vibrant, yet relaxed place where you always find what you are looking for.
The public transport is working very well, is fairly easy to figure out and we have about 6 stations (Bus/Tram/U and S Bahn) within 5 minute walking distance.

Additional information
Since either my husband nor me are from Berlin, we can give you a while load of tips and tricks for exploring and getting to know the city. In the years before we had our daughter we did a lot of sightseeing and also took our visitors around, so I would dare to say that we could bring out our own Berlin Tour Guide by now! Tell me what you are looking for and i will tell you my recommendations for restaurants, museums, shopping and anything else!
