What you will love about this home
Our home is a fully renovated 1830's brick farmhouse, located only 6 miles from downtown Montpelier, Vermont. We are surrounded by farmland with the sunrising on the front of our home and setting on the west, over the fields. Kelton Rd. is a quiet country road but it's only about 3/4 mile to Rt. 2 and less than 15 minutes to Montpelier, smallest capital in the US. Our home has a beautiful, spacious front porch, stone patio in the back, open kitchen/DR area, large LR with wood stove for cozy winter evenings and a piano. We also have an attached in-law apartment on the ground floor. Most of the house has beautiful wide pine refinished floors, with tile bathrooms and slate hearth.
What you will love about this neighborhood
We live on a quiet country road in East Montpelier which surrounded by farmland but only 6 miles from the center of Montpelier. Our community is known for having one of the largest # of preserved farms in Vermont. You can take a short walk to our closest neighbor, an organic farm to pick up fresh/raw milk, eggs, and organic meat set up on an honor system exchange. There are lots of trails to hike and x-country ski on right from the house.

There are world class ski areas within a 45 minute drive. And the VAST trails can be accessed directly from the house in the winter. Other nearby attractions include Ben & Jerry's factory, Craft Beer & Cheese producers, Cabot Cheese factory, Mountain Bike, hiking, & Cross country ski trails, Beautiful lakes, rivers, & ponds for swimming & fishing, and VAST snow mobile trails.
