We have a 3 bed home & garden in rural Devon just 3 miles from the cathedral city of Exeter with far reaching views of countryside & rolling hills of Devon. Beautiful private garden backing onto open fields with outdoor pizza oven. Light & spacious home, previously the blacksmiths cottage. The original 17th Century cottage has been extended and modernised over the years with 3 bedrooms and 3 large reception rooms, all with amazing views. Oak floors & oak doors. Fully equipped with modern furnishings & kitchen appliances. Living room with oak beams, wood burning stove, TV. Situated just 10 minutes drive from the cathedral city of Exeter with South Devon coast & Dartmoor National Park all within 30 minutes drive. Within walking distance of Haldon Belvedere Tower and Haldon Forest Park with 3,500 acres of forest, cycle & walking trails and other outdoor activities. Nearest pub is Nobody Inn in Doddiscombsleigh awarded Food & Drink Devon best restaurant 2019/2020 just 2.5 miles from Dunchideock.
At the western extremity of England, the counties of Devon & Cornwall have everything from cosy picturesque villages to vast Atlantic-facing stretches of golden sand and wild expanses of granite moorland. Rolling hillsides, rural peaceful and secluded coves & beaches. The southwest peninsula of England has a particular appeal to outdoors enthusiasts, and the local galleries, museums and seafood restaurants provide plenty of rainy-day diversions.
