What you will love about this home

Our home is a comfortable colonial on a quiet family-friendly cul-de-sac. We like to recycle and upcycle when possible and you may notice this around our house. Home can sleep eight - 2 bedrooms (King, Queen) an office/bedroom with double air-mattress, family room (separate from upstairs bedrooms and in basement) with a daybed (with trundle). We have a fully-stocked kitchen with breakfast bar. It also has lots of large windows and natural light. Sliding glass doors lead to back deck with outdoor dining. Home-gym area in the basement has elliptical, stationary bike, rowing machine and treadmill as well as weight system, yoga mats and blocks and free weights. There is a tennis court behind our house and we have tennis as well as pickle ball equipment. Relax in the hammock for afternoon naps or reading. Our home abuts acres of protected forest with many trails and streams for season activities such as walking/light hiking, exploring, biking, geo-caching, snowshoeing (we have 2 pair), sledding and cross-country skiing. Relax at the end of the day by the bonfire and enjoy the summer fireflies or the Autumn leaves. We have many books, games and puzzles. We are close to a few ski resorts as well. We do have a medium-sized dog (mentioned for allergy reasons). She has only been a travel companion x 1 . Our home is very lived-in and comfortable.

What you will love about this neighborhood

Always looking for someplace warm to travel to in Feb-March. Dates are flexible but looking for 7-9 days.

Our Vermont home is located in the beautiful and quiet village of Jericho (population 1300). Jericho is located just 14 miles outside of Burlington Vermont (airport BTV) which was voted one of America's "most livable cities". We are 20 minutes away from Mount Mansfield (Smuggler's Notch Ski Resort, Bolton Valley Ski Resort, Cochran's) with great skiing, boarding, snow tubing, mountain climbing, biking, hiking. Our town has a glorious park for picnicking, river walking and exploring ( https://www.millsriversidepark.org/ ). We are also 30 minutes from Lake Champlain with many beaches and the myriad of year-round water activities. You can quickly take a ferry ride over to New York State. Jericho is close to the Lamoille Valley Rail trail for biking (https://www.lvrt.org/) and the long trail for hiking (as well as many other hiking trails). If you are looking for a classic New England Town with friendly people, rolling hills and spacious farmlands teamed with the best a small diverse "city" can offer- this is your place!

We are 8 miles from Essex Center where you will find outlet shopping, restaurants and the cinema. If you are interested we are three hours away from Boston (to the south) and 2 hours from Montreal (to our north) and New York State is a mere ferry ride across the beautiful lake. Additionally, Vermont has been named the craft beer capitol of the United States!

Vermont is a beautiful place to visit and every season offers something different to enjoy!
