What you will love about this home

Additional information
Piombino is an Italian town and comune of about 35,000 inhabitants in the province of Livorno (Tuscany). It lies on the border between the Ligurian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea, in front of Elba Island and at the northern side of Maremma.
It has an ancient historical center, derived from the time in which it was the Etruscans' port, in the surroundings of Populonia. In the Middle Ages, it was instead an important port of the Republic of Pisa.
Its hinterland hosts a considerable industrial area. Its port is still heavily used, both for industry and for tourism, with ferry-boats to Portoferraio (Elba) and Olbia (Sardinia).
Outstretched on the sea, Piombino shares the homonymous promontory with the historic town of Populonia, settled a little further north. Piombino is rich in history and protected natural environments.
Piombino,is one of the places on the “Costa degli Etruschi” worth visiting to discover its charming beauty.
Piazza Giovanni Bovio is a unique example of square outstretched on the sea and on the Tuscan archipelago. The view from Piazza Bovio goes from Giglio to Capraia and, on bright days, the coasts of Corsica too are visible.
The Archaelogical Park of Baratti and Populonia consists of over 80 acres of park trails and organized pathways, connecting areas of great historical and archaeological interest, preserved and offered to the public in a beautiful and unspoiled natural environment.
The history of Piombino begins in Populonia, one of the most important etruscan towns, and in the well protected Gulf of Baratti, which was a crucial point of trade and processing for the iron coming from the nearby Isola d'Elba.
Beaches
Beaches, bays and reefs stretch over 30 km forming a varied and incredible offer for tourism. Of course there is a lot more to be enjoyed: food deserves to be mentioned because of the richness in ingredients, coming from both land and sea, perfect with the fine wines coming from our beautiful inland.
Just south Piombino, along the coast which reaches Follonica, there are nature parks, organized in order for tourists and visitors to enjoy them in awareness and full respect of nature: such areas attract increasingly large numbers of visitors.
