What you will love about this home
The apartment is located in the center of this beautiful city – in the Old Jewish Quarter with its still standing synagogues, the Galicia Jewish Museum and the New Square (Plac Nowy), where the students meet up. It's just a walking distance to the Old Town and to the footbridge crossing Vistula River to Podgórze - once a bustling center of 19th-century manufacturing and trade, playing a poignant role during WWII as the location of the Jewish Ghetto.
The apartment is after the renovation. There is a big bedroom, a dining room with a kitchen, hall and a charming small bathroom. It’s quiet and fully fitted with household equipment. Second floor with no elevator.

Kraków, or Cracow, stands as a testament to Poland's rich history and cultural heritage. Its various districts hold distinct narratives, each weaving into the city's vibrant tapestry.
Old Town (Stare Miasto):
At the heart of Krakow lies the Old Town, a living testament to centuries of history. The Main Market Square, Rynek Główny, stands as a bustling center, one of Europe's largest medieval squares. Adorned by architectural marvels, including the Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Basilica, this square brims with life, hosting markets, performances, and gatherings, all against a backdrop of stunning historical edifices. Overlooking the city from a limestone hill stands the grand Wawel Castle, an iconic symbol of Poland's royal past. Its regal presence houses a treasury of national artifacts, art collections, and the legendary Dragon's Den, captivating visitors with tales of folklore and royalty.
Kazimierz:
The Kazimierz district embodies Krakow's diverse heritage, notably its Jewish legacy. Once the center of Jewish life for over 500 years, Kazimierz retains its historic synagogues like the Old Synagogue and Remuh Synagogue, each bearing tales of resilience and faith. Walking its streets reveals Jewish-themed eateries, artsy boutiques, and galleries, showcasing a fusion of tradition and modernity. Among its cultural gems stands the Galicia Jewish Museum, a poignant tribute narrating the poignant history and contributions of Polish Jews, honoring their enduring legacy.
Podgórze:
Podgórze unfolds a different chapter in Krakow's history, marked by somber reflections on the tumultuous events of World War II. The Ghetto Heroes Square commemorates the tragic fate of Krakow's Jewish population during the Nazi occupation, honoring their memory with its powerful memorial. One of the most poignant sites in Podgórze is Schindler's Factory, now a museum recounting the heroic efforts of Oskar Schindler to save Jewish lives during the Holocaust. This haunting yet enlightening museum invites visitors to reflect on the resilience of the human spirit in the face of unspeakable adversity.
