What you will love about this home

Our charming, sturdy brick home offers a cozy retreat with three spacious bedrooms, each featuring luxury mattresses for a restful night's sleep. The kitchen is both functional and inviting, with a large sink and a lovely bay window that creates a bright, cozy nook. Each room is thoughtfully designed for its intended purpose: a cozy living room with a fireplace, perfect for relaxation; an updated kitchen equipped for all your culinary needs; and a spacious dining room adjacent to the kitchen, ideal for larger groups and family meals, plus a coffee buffet for added convenience.

The upstairs is divided into two large bedrooms separated by a short hallway, leading to a larger Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a bath/shower, vaulted ceiling, and skylight. The toilet has its own door, and from each bedroom, you’ll enjoy a private vanity with your own sink, towels, and other essentials.

One of the upstairs bedrooms has a queen bed and a twin, perfect for families or groups. The other bedroom features a California king mattress. While it’s older than the other two beds, it’s my personal favorite! The TV is currently in this room with the king bed, but if you prefer, I can move it to the living room for your convenience.

The master bedroom is a good size, though not as large as the upstairs bedrooms. It has French doors that open to the garden, and on the other side, we enjoy a spacious master bathroom with an oversized Jacuzzi tub and an invigorating shower. Both showers have water filters, so your hair and skin will feel great while you’re out enjoying the town.

Our kitchen is where we spend a lot of time, especially at the table by the big bay window. While we use it often, it’s not the largest kitchen, just full disclosure. We enjoy filtered water from both a Culligan system at the sink and a separate one through the refrigerator for water and ice. From the window, we often spot squirrels and birds, and occasionally, deer will walk down our driveway. Our favorite sighting is the groundhog!

By May, we should have our vegetable garden in place, where we’ve planted tomatoes, cucumbers, and lots of herbs. We plan to expand it this year, so if you visit in the fall, you can incorporate fresh produce into your meals, just like we do. Additionally, we have four small hens that should start laying eggs by autumn—feel free to enjoy those too!

I do have a home office, which will not be accessible, but for the rest of the house, please make yourself at home. Our home was built in 1986, so it has the best features of that era, including real wood floors and brickwork—it’s sturdier than many newer homes. The theme here is a well-loved home, full of positive energy. We bake bread a few times a week, and if you’re here in the winter, we spend a lot of time in the living room by the gas fireplace.

What you will love about this neighborhood

Our home is located just east of Nashville, only 3 minutes from Percy Priest Lake and the entrance to Nashville Shores Park. We are exactly 17 minutes from the heart of Nashville, with the iconic Ryman Auditorium at the center of it all. Nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac with just a dozen homes, we enjoy ample privacy and space. The property sits on just under half an acre, featuring a fenced yard and a private garden entrance leading to the master bedroom, offering a peaceful retreat.

Additional information

Hospitality is my passion. While I’ve never had a home to share until now, I’ve always envisioned enjoying this side of the industry. I conduct tours and would be happy to offer a generous discount to guests who stay at my home and wish to experience food and wine tours in Northern California’s wine country, or even a private tour in the Nashville area (if I’m in town when you stay).
