What you will love about this home
Welcome to our cozy, 3th floor, attic apartment we call our Nest, where Scandinavian design meets bohemian charm. Skylights flood the rooms with natural light (though sunshine is not such a common thing in Belgium) keeping the plants happy. Exposed beams and wooden floors, white brick walls and thoughtful choice of furniture make the whole space very gezellig (a non-translatable Dutch word for a combination of cozy, charming, pleasant). And of course our beloved books everywhere. Definitely not your cookie cutter home.
The apartment includes:
- A fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances
- A dining area with a distinctive wooden table and modern chairs
- A comfortable bedroom in a mezzanine with a 180cm bed
- A mezzanine level library/workspace with wall-to-wall bookshelves
- A bathroom with a shower and everything you need
- A living areas with sitting spaces and a smart TV.
And of course multiple plant-filled corners creating a fresh, natural environment (which we hope you will take care of).
Perfect for: Remote workers, book lovers, plant enthusiasts, and those seeking a peaceful urban retreat with character and style.

What you will love about this neighborhood
Our home is ideally situated in Ghent, within the university quarter, right besides the Citadelpark (the biggest park in town) and the botanical garden.
It's a 20min walk to the historical centre of Ghent, sometimes referred to as the Manhattan of the middle ages. A city, who's history rivals Game of Thrones.
Walk 15 minutes in the other direction to the train station, where you can board a train that takes you in 30 minutes to Brussels or in 20 minutes to Bruges.
Ghent, located in the heart of Europe is less than 2.5 hours away from cities like London, Paris & Amsterdam (all by train as well).
On a more practical note, there are multiple supermarkets within 2min walk open 7 days a week.
We also have many cozy cafes and restaurants within walking distance.
And last but not least, you can get to 5 museums in less than 15min walk.
Public transport is excellent, with several tram and bus stops nearby.
Cycling, as true to Ghent's spirit, is also an easy option - there are multiple options to rent them short or long term.

The apartment is perfect for 2, but can fit 3. There is basically no proper door inside besides the bathroom - it's all quirky open space with mezzanines. So if you want to come with 3 people, be ready for no privacy (sofa in on the ground floor and the bed on the mezzanine - but it's the same "room").
