What you will love about this home
This is our secondary home, therefore all the space is completely uncluttered and free from personal belongings. The wardrobes are empty, and there are no personal items around, offering like a HOTEL-LIKE experience for the guests. You can enjoy the space as if it were your own, with full comfort and privacy.
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire apartment which is located on the second floor of the building, with a completely independent entrance, providing total freedom for coming and going as you please.
Please note that access to the apartment is via stairs, as there is no elevator available.
Our apartment is well-lit and generously spaced, ensuring a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. You will also have access to a laundry room with free use of the washing machine, adding to the convenience of your stay.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary utensils, allowing you to prepare home-cooked meals with ease. There is a dishwasher and we also provide dishes soap, rubbish bags and some cooking essentials such as salt or spices.
We also provide fresh towels, soap and shampoo for your stay, ensuring your comfort from the moment you arrive.
For your entertainment, the living area features a TV with Chromecast which enables users to stream content from their smartphones, tablets, laptops to the television. After a day of exploring and sightseeing, unwind by streaming your favorite shows and movies, or catch up on the latest news and sports events, all from the comfort of the apartment.
No TV channels available—only a Chromecast for streaming.
GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT
The taxi ride from Malta Airport to Swieqi takes just 30 minutes and you'll pay approximately €25 when using the ehite taxi services. Apps like Uber, Bolt or E-Cabs offer reliable and affordable 24/7 taxi rides at cheaper rates (€9-€18).
Expect Traffic congestion during rush hour mostly! If your flight back is during pick hours it’s advisable to allow for an extra hour of commute!
The street apartment is located in a residential area with low traffic and noise.
As a landmark you can use the Swieqi Police Station situated in the Swieqi civic centre, and just a 2 minutes walk down our road.
Our apartment is located in a corner building, being the last building up the hill in our street.
You can park in front of the building or in the surrounding streets.
GETTING AROUND
BY CAR: In Malta we drive on left hand side (like Uk!) I recommend renting a car if you stay in Malta for one week or longer. You can rent a car at the airport or else at a rental agency (there are quite a few in the area).
Things to note:
- In built-up areas, the speed limit is usually 50km/h unless otherwise signposted and 80km/h outside these areas. There are no motorways in Malta
- Expect Traffic congestion during rush hour mostly
- Most people don’t use indicators when changing lanes
- Narrow roads in old city centres. Not the type that will cost you a side mirror, but the type with semi-blind corners.
BY BUS: Malta’s public transportation is cheap and convenient. You can buy a tourist bus card at the airport with daily and weekly packages.
See more information here https://www.publictransport.com.mt/en/visiting-malta
The nearest bus stop is in the street named Qantar. There are many other bus routes you can use from other bus stops, please check this link to plan your trip https://www.publictransport.com.mt/en/timetables
Bus route Route TD13 is recommended to visit Valleta.
Please note that buses in Malta rarely follow the indicated schedule. Sometimes they arrive 5 or even 10 minutes early, and other times they might not show up at all. So, if you’re in a hurry, we recommend using Bolt or Uber, which are usually and affordable and reliable option.

HOUSE RULES
1. No parties/neighbours nuisance allowed:
This is a residential area where adequate respect is required.
You shall not cause any nuisance or inconvenience to the occupiers of the other apartments. Please keep noise levels down after 10pm. That means no amplified music or loud voices late at night.
Kindly make sure windows are closed when listening to music or watching movies.
Guests are allowed on the property from 10:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m., provided the total number of people on the property does not exceed 6 persons. The guest is responsible for their guest and any damages caused, ensuring that the guest always complies with the property rules.
Guests or unrelated persons other than those registered in the reservation are not allowed on the property from 08:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m
2. No pets are allowed.
3. If the property is found in poor cleanliness conditions after your departure, beyond what a courteous guest leaves, for example: leaving dirty pots and pans in the kitchen, excess garbage in the bins or scattered on the floor, stains on the floor, bloodstains or makeup on towels and sheets, dirty walls, stains on sofas; these are examples of poor conditions. An additional cleaning fee charge of €100 will be applied.
4. Please make sure you clean any appliances, including the oven and microwave, after use. To avoid spills and stains, feel free to use the provided foil for oven trays and the plastic lid to cover plates when reheating food in the microwave.
5. No smoking is allowed inside the apartment.
No smoking is allowed outside: neither at the apartment front door, nor in the staircase (this is to avoid neighbors' nuisance!)
Please note that smoking is only allowed in the designated roof area (terrace) outside the home and which is available for the guests' usage (host will specify upon your arrival)
Kindly note an additional €100 cleaning fee would be charged if caught smoking in not allowed areas.
6. The property will be prepared for the arrival of the number of guests indicated in the reservation (bedding and linen)
7. Young people, babies, toddlers, and children are more than welcome, but each must be specified in the reservation.
8. Door/Security:
Please make sure to lock the door with the key (turn the key) whenever you leave the premises.
9. Air Conditioners / Central Heating:
The heating/cooling works with three A/C units located in the living/kitchen area, and in the 2 bedrooms. There is also a ceiling fan in the living room area, and another in the main bedroom.
We promote responsible and energy-efficient resource usage. According to government guidelines the air conditioning temperature must be set at a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius when cooling and no higher than 21 degrees on heating.
Please turn off the air conditioning and fans when you are not in the room and when leaving the house.
10. Interior Lights:
Please turn off the lights when you are not in the room.
11. Exterior lights:
The lights outside work automatically with a motion-detecting sensor therefore you should not need to change the settings.
12. Laundry:
Guests can use the washing machine installed in the box room. Washing liquid will be available for your perusal.
13. It is not allowed to take the bath towels or bed linen out of the apartment
14. Please ensure that when opening windows, you only open the side with the mosquito net installed. This is to prevent mosquitoes, cockroaches, and other insects from entering the apartment.
Thank you for helping keep the space comfortable and bug-free.
15. Fuse Box:
The fuse box is located by the front door (to the right), in the entry hallway.
In the case that the electricity has gone off please check the following:
1. Check the 'consumer unit' (also known as fuse box). Check to see if one of the switches has tripped and is in the ‘off’ position (pointing downwards). If so, push the switch back up into the ‘on’ position to get the power back on.
2. If all the switches are in 'on' position (pointing upwards), check to see if it’s just the flat with no electricity. If the other houses have light, it might be the fuse box located downstairs (outside the flat, underneath the stairs at ground floor level). The keys for this are inside the unit in the corridor. Open the right door of the cabinet. See the power fuse for flat 6 and turn the switch to 'on' position if it is pointing downwards.
3. If all the other houses outside have no light it would be a power cut from the public system, in which case there is nothing to do but wait.
Minimum stay 3 nights.
