What you will love about this home
Our home is a white Victorian, built in 1880. It has been updated throughout, located on a 1/2-acre lot with multiple seating areas, lush gardens, a workshop, and 2 car detached garage. We have three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, living room, dining room, breakfast area, and covered front porch. Our neighborhood is filled with beautiful southern style homes, and we are only two blocks from the quant town of Versailles.
What you will love about this neighborhood
Our home is located in Versailles, Kentucky, the historical district of Woodford County with most homes built in the 1900th century. We are walking distance to a lovely town with shops, restaurants, outdoor entertainment, and a farmers' market.
Kentucky is a place full of unique attractions and experiences! Here are a few highlights to pique your interest:
BOURBON - Kentucky is the birthplace of bourbon, and if you're a fan, the Bourbon Trail is a must. You can visit distilleries in places like Lexington, Louisville, Bardstown, etc., to learn about the distillation process, and of course, sample the goods!
HORSE COUNTRY - Kentucky is famous for its horse racing and breeding. The Kentucky Derby, held annually in Louisville, is an iconic event. But even outside of Derby time, we are located 8 miles from Keeneland. This track runs in April and October, with horse sales throughout the year. There are multiple opportunities to tour beautiful horse farms in the Lexington area, see thoroughbreds in action, and learn about the equestrian industry.
NATURAL BEAUTY - Mammoth Cave National Park, Red River Gorge, Lake Cumberland, and Cumberland Falls State Resort Park, are just a few of the places for a nature lover to visit.
SMALL TOWN CHARM/FOOD AND DRINK - Kentucky has tons of charming small town to visit and enjoy local history, art, and great food. Kentucky is home to some fantastic food culture. You will enjoy southern comfort food like fried chicken, burgoo, and hot browns.
