What you will love about this home
We bought our house (built in the 1970’s) at the beginning of 2024. After a complete renovation, we moved in at the end of December 2024. It still requires some finishing touches, but it is already a pleasant place to live. Between January 2025 and the summer of 2025, the small remaining finishes will be addressed step by step.
MORE PHOTOS COMING SOON!
On the ground floor, we have a bright, open living space (thanks to the many large windows). Cooking together is a pleasure in the spacious open kitchen. From both the kitchen and living room, you have a beautiful view of the garden (which is not landscaped yet) and the fields beyond.
The ground floor also features an entry hall at the front door, a larger hall near the back door (with space for coats and shoes), and a guest toilet.
On the ‘in between’ level (three steps up), we have three children/teen bedrooms and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and double sink.
On the first floor, you'll find the master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (walk-in shower and sink), a separate toilet, an open office overlooking the ground floor, and an attic room that we use as a playroom/chill area for our kids aged 9, 10, and 13.
Our house is fully basemented. In the basement, you'll find the laundry room (with a washer and dryer), a garage with bicycles you can use and a storage cellar with a large freezer and an extra refrigerator.
From the spacious garden (which is not landscaped yet!), you have a stunning view of the fields beyond and two of Bruges' three iconic towers (de Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk en de Sint-Salvatorskathedraal)
This view can also be enjoyed from the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, and one of the children's bedrooms.
We have a BBQ and fire pit available for use, and in the garden, there is a tiny house that serves as a chill area for the kids, a quiet reading spot or workspace.
There is WIFI throughout the entire house, garden, and tiny house.

What you will love about this neighborhood
When buying our house, we deliberately chose a house in this neighbourhood!
We live in a very quiet residential area with a countryside view, yet only five minutes from the village center, where you’ll find everything you need: supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, a fish shop, a local market on Thursdays, as well as restaurants, cafés, and even a small shopping street with charming concept stores.
Bruges, the UNESCO World Heritage City, is also nearby (5 km) and easily accessible by bike (20 minutes) or public transport (bus stop 800 m away).
In addition to visiting its famous landmarks, Bruges is the place to be if you enjoy shopping and fine dining.
Do you prefer nature?
‘Bulskampveld,’ ‘Doeveren,’ or ‘Het Zwin’ are some nearby nature reserves where you can enjoy beautiful walks.
The Belgian coast is also easily reachable from Oostkamp. In just a 30-minute drive, you’ll find yourself in Zeebrugge, where you can enjoy the sun, sea, and beach or grab a drink and a bite at the surf club.
Other cities worth visiting and located a short distance from Oostkamp:
Ghent (30 minutes by car)
Antwerp (1 hour by car)
Brussels (1 hour by car)
Amsterdam, Netherlands (2.5 hours by car)
Paris, France (3 hours by car)
From Bruges Station, you can also reach these cities by train.
From Brussels Station, the Eurostar will take you to the heart of London in just 2 hours.
