What you will love about this home
Our beach house is a sun-filled home where we love to spend time with our children and extended family. It is the perfect getaway spot where you can be as busy or unbusy as you like and at night be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the ocean.
- Facing east, we welcome the morning sun and our beach receives sun for the whole day.
- Main bedroom has a large very comfortable king-sized bed.
- Second bedroom has a double bunk with two single beds and a triple bunk with a single on top and double underneath.
- The beach is 40 metres away, down the front lawn and across a road and park. A relatively secluded eastern-facing beach sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds.
- Mermaid beach is a short walk (350m) away, popular at high tide where the tide comes in over the warm rocks and is a favourite place for testing your nerves by jumping off the high rocks.
- Located at the quiet end of Bridport, our beach house is perfectly situated only a quick dash to the beach – and back up if you’ve forgotten something. It is possible to stay here and forget the last time you used your car.
- The local shops, cafes and pubs are a 5-minute walk away.
- There is a tennis court 50 metres along the road.
- Walking tracks that take you through wildflower reserves from beach to road for walking, running or bike riding.
- Being our family beach house, there are children’s books, toys, board games and card games to play.
- There is a felt-covered jigsaw puzzle board that lives on the shelf under the coffee table and usually has a jigsaw puzzle on the go.
- There is a collection of novels that can be read and exchanged/added to.

- There is a local Surf Life Saving Club with one patrolled beach and regular local CWA and community markets.
- Close by are numerous award-winning wineries famous for their cool climate wines.
- Bridestowe Lavender farm (23 mins away)
- Mountain bike riding, walking tracks and luxury saunas in the town of Derby (46mins) and mountain biking on the Blue Tier in Weldborough (1hr).
- Nearby are world renowned Barnbougle (11mins) and Lost Farm (16mins) Golf Courses and restaurant. (Day Spa to re-open Sep 2025).
- For bushwalkers, there are waterfalls and hiking tracks nearby. Lilydale Falls (30mins), Ralph Falls (2hrs), Halls Falls (1.2hr) Blue Lake (50mins) Mt WiIliam National Park (1hr), Bay of Fires National Park (1hr 49mins). Mt Barrow walking track (1hr)

- Bridport itself has some great choices for dining with a café, two pubs (the top Pub/Bay Inn offering great gluten free options on their menu), a restaurant adjacent to the RSL club, and two fish and chip shops with locally caught fish.
- In the warmer months, a food van park is a hub of activity offering a large range of cuisines.
- Bridport has two supermarkets, a newsagent and a pharmacy.

Additional information
As this is our holiday home and we also host paying guests, we ask that $80 cleaning fee is left on the dresser for our cleaner. This means that you tidy up behind you and walk out leaving the washing & cleaning for someone else!
