What you will love about this home
This cozy self contained studio is attached to our large deck where you can relax in the hammock or prepare your simple meals or platters. Wine and dine at the table overlooking the vegetable garden and Mt Arthur in the distance.
Inside your room you'll have a comfy queen bed which folds up into the wall if a remote workspace is needed (please let me know and foldable desk and office chair can be provided).
Relax in the deep soak bath (or switch it over for a soothing rain shower) within the room space after a day exploring our beautiful area. Alternatively soak your hiking feet as you sit and plan the next days adventures.
You have your own separate locked entrance to come and go as you please. The room is locked off to the rest of our home.
I'll be honest, this is a family home so although we will respect your privacy you may be warmly welcomed as part of our family with silly jokes, pounced on by a friendly little toy poodle, shown the chirpy budgie or asked questions like your favourite colour or Nintendo game,
We back onto our Christian School so on school days you can hear the sounds of schoolyard play and my three boys leaving and returning.
As a single widowed mother I most likely won’t be able to join you in conversation in the evening as much as on weekends and school holiday times but will be here to assist as much as possible.
If you would like a totally private stay, we have self check-in for the times we are away. Google/suggest the Tasmanian School Holiday dates and can hopefully find an exchange.
You can access the home kitchen/laundry to utilise the washer/dryer/dishwasher and oven/stove if we are away and if we are home just let me know when you need.
Please note we let this space out on AirBnB as well and will be updating the calendar regularly to reflect the availability.

What you will love about this neighborhood
Launceston is a top tourist destination. Our home is in Riverside, in the beautiful Tamar Valley which is a perfect centralised location for Tasmanian road tripping (see images of the majestic Cradle Mountain 2 hours to the west and Bay of Fires/Freycinet 3 hours to the east). We live by the river and wine routes and close to Cataract Gorge.
The Launceston region is also fast becoming a top foodie destination with its many boutique distilleries, cellar doors and restaurants.
Convenience store, pub, Indian restaurant takeway, hairdresser, sports parks, chemists, doctor, gym, childcare and even a dentist is a short stroll away adjacent to the large Windsor Park Recreation precinct with well kept walking tracks and sports fields and weekly Park Community Runs.
The drive to Launceston is less than 15. Inures away. Pristine beaches RE ABOUT 1 hours drive up the river,
If looking to do some study the University of Tasmania, Australian Maritime College and Worldview Centre for International Studies are a short drive near Launceston.
Hobart to the south is about 3 hours drive and although can be driven there and back in a day it is recommended to find alternative accomodation as there is a lot to offer down there as well.

Additional information
You will be staying with our family of myself and three boys aged 15, 13 and 8 unless we are away. Please let us know if you would prefer to be on your own. Tasmanian school holidays are the most likely times for this to happen.
